Phat, in the slang of the Portenyos (as people from Buenos Aires are called, not Argentina mind you just people from Buenos Aires) mangos (no E) is a slang term for money. There is almost a dialect here known as Lunfardo, which started with guys in jail. There were things they weren't allowed to talk about so they used a substitution code and some of that made it's way into popular usage.

A jury in Bexar County, Texas just acquitted Ezekiel X of charges that he murdered a 23-year-old Craigslist escort—agreeing that because he was attempting to retrieve the $150 he'd paid to Lenora X, who wouldn't have sex with him, his actions were justified.

Ezekiel X had admitted to shooting Lenora X in the neck on Christmas Eve 2009, when she accepted $150 from Mr. X and left his home without having sex with him. Ms. X, who was paralyzed by the shooting, died several months later.

Mr. X's defense argued that the shooting wasn't meant to kill, and that Mr. X's actions were justified, because he believed that sex was included as part of the fee. Texas law allows people "to use deadly force to recover property during a nighttime theft."
