With seeking's updates, there is something new. I often check the active location box on profiles, if it is outside the US, that is a tip-off it is a scammer. However, I have been seeing a lot lately that say unknown (in all caps). I wonder how someone is pulling this off. Perhaps using a VPN? And I have been this also on profiles that I know are actually real people because I have messaged w / them.

Not all ISP fully register all their IP Address allocations.

The IP Address lookup tool API that Seeking is using is probably outdated or not the best IP Address lookup tool. That's why it returns a lot of UNKNOWN.

Do it must be something else on their site. The new experience sucks.

It may be true for some of the more common VPN services or browsers. They may have know IP addresses that seeking blocks. I VPN into a large corporate server, then out onto the web. I have no trouble getting on that way. I currently use the Brave browser, I have used EPIC in the past.
