From what I've gathered from other peoples' posts, submitting what they ask for 1:1 seems to be your best bet and if you don't hear back then chances are you didn't meet whatever criteria they have (it is what it is, it's their decision at the end of the day). You can maybe send a follow up in case they just missed your application, but if you don’t hear back, I’d assume you didn’t pass.
