Well goody goody gumdrop!
Infections are up 40% since re opening, hospitalizations and deaths will follow
You sound rather happy about that, if those figures are indeed true unless you are going by the daily pablum that CNN feeds you. Let's keep it simple though. Let's continue the shutdown and the strangulation of the economy and only deaths will follow! No messy hospitalizations, only deaths. Let's continue to destroy our lives, our livelihoods, our hobbies, our pleasures, all the things that used to give our lives meaning and purpose, let's just destroy all of it and then rejoice in our success. No sports, no concerts, no restaurants, no bars, no symphonies, no churches, no grocery stores, no drugstores, no retail stores, no art galleries, no airlines, no buses, no trains, no movies, no theater, no parks, etc, etc, etc. Let's all wear masks and gloves for the rest of our lives and not get within a fucking mile of another human being. Sounds like utopia to me! We are well on our way, my friends. Keep up the good work. And when you have destroyed it all in the name of being safe and you are reveling in the grimness of the brave new world that you have created for us all, be sure and let me know how that feels. Because it becomes more obvious to me every day that many of you shutdown advocates out there have no fucking clue as to what you will reap from this mindless sowing. Be safe out there, and keep wearing those goddam masks.
Well, now that you mention it
And are you happy to be the turd radical on the opposite end of the spectrum? Try contributing something of value to end this stupid shit instead of dumping fuel on the fire.
Yes night, I am quite happy to be a radical if it means telling the truth about what is going to happen to all of us if we continue this madness. What I have to say is of quite a bit of value, regardless of your snarky comment to contrary. I like your comment of fuel on the fire however since that is EXACTLY what I am doing and will continue to do to shake people out of being mindless sheep, following their fears around, chasing their tails as they are dictated to by the agenda pushing fear mongers who control them. We can end this "stupid shit", as you put it, but only by adopting the common sense approach which is protecting the most vulnerable among us while keeping our economy stable, a concept I have stated several times in my most recent posts if you had bothered to thoroughly read them which obviously you have not. Unfortunately we adopted the hair on fire approach, the throw a blanket over everything approach, the shut everything down approach as we completely ignored the fates of those whose livelihoods such malignant group think destroyed. Millions of those livelihoods are gone, never to come back, and all because we were either too fucking lazy or stupid to figure out a more reasonable solution or we hated Trump to the point of burning our own ship down in order to bring him down. Talk about stupid, now that's fucking stupid, night. But it's real. We have done just that and we will pay the unimaginable price for our myopic selfishness. Think of it this way: I am like the Ghost of Christmas Future, and our future is bleak, really really bleak because of what we have done to ourselves. You may not like it but that's just the way it is. It's a reality that I didn't want and don't want to see played out but we have too many people out there who still demand the burn down the ship approach. I would suggest you try to end their stupid shit way of thinking before you condemn mine, not that I care if you or others like you don't like what I say. I give you reality. It's not my fault or my problem if you and others can't handle it.
Are you really that blind?
This is going no where, these putzes are going to worry about themselves and their self interests, be damn the impact to the community, their friends and family. I can only hope they don't have to suffer the lose of someone close to them due to this virus. I really hope that if they do come down with this virus the medical system is there to help them.
And I suppose that the shutdown has had no impact to the community, both immediate and in the future? How the hell do you ignore that? Why is it so impossible for some of you to believe that we could have handled the effects of the virus AND kept our economic livelihoods stable? Why is draconian shutdown of our lives the ONLY solution for so many of you? You can label me a selfish putz all day if you like but nothing could be further from the truth. The problem is that you lack the imagination to have anything else to say to me except to resort to the lowest common denominator and do the only thing you know how to do and that is to throw shit at anyone who dares to question your narrowness. Do what you have to do. I will continue to throw the truth out there whether you wish to acknowledge it or not. You will not stop me.
Your blindness is astounding. And terminal
Here ya go you knucklehead. In the last 1 week new cases across the state have gone up over 100%. This is why we should not be reopening.
You still refuse to answer my question. Did you even read what I said? Keep everything shut down, Jims. It's fine. Shut everything down until YOU tell us it's ok to come out from under our beds again. Give us nice little graphs and charts that "prove" your point when I know you are lying through your stupid teeth. If cases were up like you say then the AJC would be all over it because they are leftists like you who aren't happy unless everyone's lives are destroyed. But not a peep from the AJC. It must be nice for people like you and the AJC who have had no income interruption to lecture everyone else that they should be happy that their lives are being destroyed right before our eyes. That is what you are doing, Jims, that is what you are advocating. Cases and deaths have actually gone DOWN in Florida and Georgia, Jims, but that doesn't fit your narrow little agenda. And just what is your agenda, Jims? Why are you so adamant that there is only ONE way to address this virus instead of what I have advocated for, a strategy that takes into consideration the lives of EVERYONE, Jims. But you ignore that, Jims. You won't even consider it, Jims. Why Jims, why? When should we reopen, Jims, when nobody has a job anymore except you? Does that make sense to you, Jims? Does it make sense to you that the coronavirus is the only thing on this planet that must be addressed, Jims? What about people with other illnesses and afflictions whose medical problems have been put on the back burner because ONLY coronavirus cases count anymore, Jims? How many people will die from cancers that were diagnosed too late because of the mindless group think advocated by people like you, Jims? I could go on and on but it's useless, I know. For simpletons like you, Jims, it's shut everything down and destroy everyone's lives, Jims, and then excoriate people like me who try to talk some sense into your brain dead heads. But go ahead. Do it. In the pathetic group think that you are part of, Jims, you "might" "save" some lives (although how your group demands we do that is dubious at best) but then destroy millions more lives in the process. Sound like a good trade-off, Jims? You are more than willing to do it so it must be. Go ahead, Jims, do what you must do. The aftermath is going to be pure hell, Jims, pure hell. I am truly sorry that I cannot get you and others like you to even consider for a second how that aftermath is going to be. Do what you must do. We'll sort it all out in the wreckage that will follow and then we will see who walks away.
Too bad that they won't listen but
In my opinion, the best course of action is to open up everything and let nature take its course and yes that does include me. I feel confident that it won't affect me but if it does, so be it. A vast majority of people will be unaffected by this virus health wise. I think just about all of us have felt it financially. Some more than others. A person can't live their life in fear or else what's the point of living? I've heard celebrity after celebrity contracting the virus with little to no affects. Data from California has shown that the actual cases in the US of people who have contracted the virus is at least 8 times more than the people who have been tested and confirmed for having the virus. The actual death rate is far lower than what is being pushed out in the media. There are so many ways to die. What is the old saying? A hundred million ways to die. Assaults, car accidents, stroke, heart attack, cancer, fall of a roof, another virus, etc. People die every day in a variety of ways. This virus does not scare me, personally. You can't fight fate. People believe they can but they would be wrong. That's why it's called fate. What does scare me is our current economic situation. Congress are talking now about a $3 trillion relief package. If that happens, that's $5 trillion spent by the federal government in less than 60 days. Damn!! Current deficit of more than $24 trillion. When does it end? Money doesn't grow on trees.
And since January, what's happened to the flu? All of a sudden, it just disappeared. Strange. As a nation, we have two choices. Keep it closed, which affects just about everyone negatively or open it up, which would affect a small amount of people negatively. If your argument is about saving lives, people will die in either scenario. Don't hold your breath for a vaccine. Not that one won't be discovered. It's just often times difficult and takes a long time. I feel that this was hyped up so much and so much damage has been done financially, politicians and experts can't reverse course since there would be shitstorm waiting for those people. Easier just to go with the flow and let the current situation take its course. Thoughts?
Thank you. Common sense. You will be attacked, unfortunately, but what you are saying is the common sense truth. Too bad there are too many on this thread who cannot comprehend what you are trying to say to them. Thanks again for having the courage to say it, though.
Yes, he pretty much did. Wish it would do some good but it won't.
Pretty much hit it on the head. It's a virus and sooner or later your catching it, no if ands or buts. This isn't even thinning the herd any. I'm 68 and never seen this country shut down for anything before.
The difference is, John, that the group thinkers have been very successful with their propaganda and outright lies that the virus is a death sentence for EVERYBODY, young, old, weak, strong, health-compromised or healthy as a horse. The mortality rate for the virus is 100%, or at least it is according to their poisonous innuendos. The fact that it is quite the opposite, that at least 98% who test positive will actually LIVE, but they don't want anyone to believe that, even though it is true, because it suits their agenda of control and manipulation. Yes, a very high percentage of the elderly with pre-existing health conditions or other comorbidities will die if they come down with it, and that is certainly bad enough, but the group thinkers will have none of that. Every body die, according to them, and because too many weak-minded people believe their lies then you have this unprecedented situation where your country is withering away before your eyes. The group thinkers allow no other thought other than their own demand of societal suffocation. It's not their way or the highway, theirs IS the highway and you had damn well stay on their highway or else they will savage you into compliance. The idea that we could have protected the most vulnerable AND kept a stable economy is completely lost on them. I'll leave it up to you to figure out why. As for me, I have had enough of fighting their madness for the time being. But, tomorrow is another day.
