Yes I was disturbed too for what happen with a nice girl like Christina, so much details about these girls. I was lucky to have Christina (2) times and Amanda (4) times with me and always treat them in my best way (candies & Food), specially Amanda, who I miss a lot. I was going to meet her that Saturday, but She was picked up Friday for traspassing, I hope she can cameback very soon. It was too good almost like dream came true, but because a couple sick people it made bad..bad for the rest of us. I hope to see these wonderful ladies some time in a near future and wish them well.

RIP and tribute for Monique Brown

I was shocked to read in this morning's Courant that (Maishaun) Monique Brown died at the age of 37, much too young.

Some of you older mongers may remember her from when she was running around on the streets in the 80s and early 90s. I first met Monique in the summer of 1983 when she was dancing and hanging out at the Trios club on the corner of Park and Washington (same building as Marty's Adult World and another MP in the back). She was only 16 but looked older, with a well-endowed figure and a face identical to the black girl in the Michael Jackson "Thriller" video.

She was a very sweet but confused girl who got screwed up by drugs. She wasn't happy with her lifestyle and always wanted to straighten out her life, but drug addiction is strong and it wasn't easy. Several of her friends (including me) tried to help her, but again it was not easy.

Eventually she cleaned up her act in the mid 1990's. I last heard from her in 1998 when she let me know that she had finally gotten her life together.

I realize that WSG may not be the best forum for this tribute, but reading about Monique's death (and the recent attacks on Christina) reminded me that behind the faces of the ladies we see on the streets are real people, many of whom are good people who just happen to be in a bad place in their lives and who deserve our friendship and respect. And this may be the only place where anyone writes something nice about Monique; the Courant obituary said very little.

I received an PM from a monger who for whatever reason is afraid to post. He met up with Christina and she apparently ditched him in the DP projects with $60 and his wallet full of credit cards. What sucks is the guy actually drove over an hour to Hartford due to the excellent reports here about her!

Thats sucks...but...its par for the course.

This is just a tidbit for anyone travelling long ways to find sport in Hartford. Just because she's got 15 minutes of fame in WSG doesn't make them virtuous and trust worthy. Be careful giving any cash before play and NEVER give them cash to pickup anything or pay anyone.

Just got back from a trip to Cali boys. Where the AMPs are a lot more expensive, and don't offer any showers. Anyways, i've been trying to post some stuff for a little while but I my cpu has been on the fritz. So let me drop someinfo, cause y'all rock for being so informative the last few weeks. Went evergreen about a week ago and saw LE in the parking lot, then went back a few days and checked and same thing. So decided to go to magic for my first time. Dig the shower in the bathroom, FS for 1.2. Later during the week, started fiending around here and couldn't find any SW for the life of me, so I checked the advocated escort adds. Was definitely nervous as I'd never tried it before, dialed a coupl of places and went to Kelly's Back. Kelly's cute and knows what she's doing. A little older, 28 or so, but expierenced and fun. Later that week again checked out another add and met 8 or 9 . Chheck out the Holly add-didn't get Holly but a cute blondie that was awesome. Name's Amber and defiunitely my #1 experience as a monger. Met up with her after goijng to the bar, and she worked me out, let me stay a little longer, and is a blonde hottie. Later that night on my drive back home drove through dutch point and ran into Christina for my 1st time. I think she was a little lit, as she was twitchin and stuff. Talk to her for a while afterwards about her unfortunate experience. She says she's extra precautios now. But if she's back on junk, caution only extends so far. That's a good reminder for people who cruise. It is all about cash for the ladies. I have met up with Christina a few times and have always had a good time. But I would never give cash and then have them say i want to stop here for a moment, because you know she and your cash will be gone for good no matter how angelic an SW may look

Another rule to remember, and I have learned this the hard way, only take the cash you are willing to spend or loose. Also leave your credit cards at home or stashed away in your car. If you take a lady to a hotel room or your home always know where she is in relationship to your cash. The temptation to get away with cash without giving service and putting themselves in danger of being assaulted or busted i am sure is great for any SW but mongers need to be careful..

Yes I agree, that was truly a heartfelt tribute Spearsman, and personally it gave me chills reading it. I certainly never knew Monique, but she was just about the same age as I am, so it really affected me. I don't normally post here in the Hartford section because its not at all my "turf," but after reading that I felt compelled to chime in.

When reading reports from other parts of the country and world, I realize we have a pretty good group here in the Connecticut forum. I rarely see people post things that demean these working girls here like I do in other places, and I for one appreciate that.

Stoner...may I ask what proof you have from this unnamed poster that it indeed was Christina an not another SW?
I think most of the guys who have met her would not agree that she is a thief. But I agree that caution is always warranted when dealing with SW.
It seems very strange that this guy does not post here yet is sure its her then PMs you.

Not to doubt Stoner's source, but I have a hard time believing that Christina was a thief. On several occasions I let her sit in my car running while I went in for condoms, or gas, or food,etc. And I have a very expensive car with lots of accessories inside. No cd's or cash or cell's stolen ever. Surely it must be a different girl like Monger suggests. I hope.

I am an out of towner. Cruised around the Wyllis St. area Monday night 7:30-8:15pm and then again from 9:30-10:30pm. I saw "nada" - nothing at all except for a bunch of guys walking around. Am I in the wrong area? I thought I would at least see one honey.

I also checked out Venus; much better girls at the club up the street. Only 2 girls were left by the time I got there. One was willing to meet at my hotel after she got off work, but she never showed. The bartenders had not heard of India, but then again he had only been their a week and works only Monday nights. I was hoping to get her number.

A typical scam that we've all been burned by in the past is the "gotta buy some blah blah blah real quick." scheme. They ask for some portion of the money upfront and want to go "score" right quick with promise to enhance your time. She goes into house and goes out the back door to the real spot...or will lose you in the projects.

This fellow in particular was foolish enough to go trouncing through Dutch point looking for her AFTERDARK! (No offense, guy, if you are reading this, but you need to hear this, seriously) He could have lost more than a few dollars in there.

Just a word of caution. It takes one fellow to come up dead somewhere to cause all sorts of hell. God forbid he has a WSG report in his car and mapquest directions or whatever.

Be careful out there. Be careful who you trust and how much you trust. Its all a game, boys.
