Recently I'm seeing that after some back and forth and finally agreeing to text that they block me as soon as I give my number. I'm sure it's scammers, but seems like a really time / labor intensive way to collect phone numbers. Are they just blocking me once they see it's an app number and they can't find out who I am? What gives?

Totally; it's a two-edged sword! Me too; more often than not it's not as great as I'd hoped and experienced. . . But hope springs eternal.

The Skinner box people will tell you that the randomness of the reward is a big part of what keeps the hunt going.

In this dating or mongering world there is little consistency or predictability. Such is life! Regular dating can be a disaster, expensive and damaging while seeking constant novelty almost guarantees hits and failures. But we seem to need variety in some shape or form. I went from the perfect provider to a girlfriend that crashed and burned, though amicably, in two months after I willing gave her an expensive gift. Seems like a conundrum. I'm on the verge of rejoining SA because it was good to me a few years ago. The take-aways are: you will spend money in all scenarios, know what you like, appreciate it as much as possible, don't expect good or bad things to last. Sorry you had to experience something so disturbing and enduring. Maybe it reshaped you for the better.

What gives?[/QUOTE]For me, the latest trend is them giving me their number and not responding when I text. This has happened to me about 5 times in the last couple weeks. Most of their numbers I verified were real too and not app numbers.

However, I DO use an app number... don't f-ing tell me it's because of "green text bubbles"...maybe that's it.

I have had girls tell me they don't want to respond because of green texts before. Totally bizarre that anyone would care about it.

This one is in town, has an hotel in the city, and seems ready to meet. I can't make it work with my schedule so passing it along. She's 35 has an ok face, nice tits and body and seems to be up for anything. I got her down to 350 but like I said couldn't make the timing work.
