Maybe if you stopped driving by the girls at 40 mph, while you take the shot the pics would come out more clear.

A Nikon f/2.8 VR zoom will work very well at night without flash, but you definitely need to park while you take the pic. Those are expensive lenses, costing more than your D90 though. You might look at purchasing a cheap prime lens like the Nikon 50MM f/1.8D (effective 75mm on your camera) which will take great low light no flash pictures for a cheap price ($125).

For the daytime get a cheap 300mm (450mm effective on your D90)...you can park far away from the action and still get great shots without being noticed.

Both of those will allow you to stop driving at 40MPH while you snap your 4.5 frames per second shots. I have the same D90 and think it's awesome (upgraded from a D70).... Baldy Cruise has another Nikon DSLR which he uses to take those amazing shots we see from him.

Remember to turn off the focus assist light at night during your night "safari" pictures to be unnoticed.

F. Y. I. Drove down Century last night, and actually saw 2 different Black SW's, one was lightskinned and sexy, near Inglewood ave, the other was not very pretty down near prairie. Tracks been dead for a while so it was a surprise.

I've been thinking about getting the 300mm lens but I don't have a good explanation or reason for the purchase. As is, my significant other wonders why I bought a monster of a camera that I don't know how to use...haha. Well, obviously but it's hard to find a good place to park. Either way, if you do find a good place, SW's quickly move from street to street. Also, I don't have the guts to stop traffic or stop right in front of them to snap the pic because the camera is pretty obvious. Keep up the good work bro, we appreciated all the shots u get.

Nat, there's going to be LE just about anyone of the tracks mentioned. All the tracks are not a secret to us or LE. The best thing to do is just keep reading up on which ones you want to go on.

Was cruising today just before noon. Have just been into looking. Surprisingly there were lots of SW's out there. Some were 9's. Lots of mongers too. Then LEO comes and starts busting the hot SW's. After reading for quite a while about Figueroa I made my first run today. Left at 9pmish and drove for a while. Saw only a few LE out. I just park my ass in the right place where the lighting is good, I have my own personal spots on each block which I like to use. It's all about being in the right place at the right time is all.

If the track is on and poppin', and you're in a line-up of cars (on a side street), then just keep your windows cracked, and as you get close to the corner of the main drag, trust me they'll approach you - given you don't look creepy or like LE. Of course, try to see if they'll hop in for a ride around the block so you don't get caught up with window discussions - those can be dangerous. If they won't get in, or give attitude, move on to the next girl. We all know they have a schedule to keep, but the true pro knows how to accommodate a horny monger.

Personally, I don't like to make a p/u in a sea of ho's, since those are likely to be the "managed" ladies. Now, it's not necessarily bad if a SW is pimped, even the indies probably have someone watching them, but just think of the type of service you get at a ma' & pop operation rather than a large corporate chain.
