All of the talent is, at the least, cute, and there were a good number of, if not stunners, then hotties- it's a better ratio than most of the clubs around, with a decent ethnic mix (if that's your thing). There is a unnecessary DJ- I can make my own asinine comments about the dancers, thankyouverymuch!

I was there with a buddy to see skye, no problems until they went in back for some dances. When I was alone at table every girl came by for a tip. 2 and 3 times, I tipped once and they were still pushy, never saw anything like it at any other club. I decided it would be cheaper to just get a dance, and grabbed a hot Russian. Got a nice dance but she can't count, I said 3 dances and ended up with 6. The songs were dance music that was running together, so I couldn't tell when they ended. Millstream would be a great local place to go to if they would stop the tip conga lines. The food was good and a few of the dancers were nice. Skye is a whole story all by herself, maybe even a book if you include her sister.

Watching the Bama Tex A&M at Hooters, then I rolled over to the block, Lust downstairs no dancers. 2 girls sitting in chairs both long time dancers best days long passed; Chez Joey walked in and horrible odor and walked out complained to door man, he goes and come out and leaves the door open with a fan blowing, he says girls were smoking and sprayed something: smelled like really cheap nasty perfume lysol. Ok Oasis two more girls sitting no dancers; diamond lounge 2 girls sitting, one of which over weight: I'm not into big girls, I can troll POF for that. Red Room a few dancers, long timers one girls always says she been here on the block the longest time and still has all her teeth. Wow. Went over to Norma Jeans which usually has action but not today one girls dressed for dancing and two others in street clothes. One guy drinking. In general most of the clubs had no clients, I wonder how they stay in business.
For those interested see my DC strip club posts on EI, was there again last Friday, every time I go there are 20 to 50 guys in there. You don't see a club that packed in Baltimore, also $5 beers all the time, $5 lap dances and $25 VIP 20 minutes. All bargains compared to the block. Lots of dancers, usually 20 to 25 girls coming and going. Almost all the girls are African American of all shapes and sizes. I have alot of fun and usually stay 2 or 3 hours.

I have found the Haven Place to be my go-to place now. Only 4 dancers most nights, but excepts for one bigger girl, the rest are well worth the $2 bottled water, $3 coke, or $4 beer (or is it $5?). Very friendly girls and they don't hustle you for drinks.
I have to agree with RKirk, Haven Place is my "go-to". Attractive women, cheap drinks, ample free parking. Drawback is lapdances are done in a chair in front of the restroom.

I think every strip club has its ups and downs. Started off my night at Haven Place. I have been going there for more than a decade and I have found it to be hit or miss. I use to be an every weekend regular and now I probably get out twice a year. Saturday night to me was ok but not the greatest. I remember back in the day there was a lot of great busty chicks. There was Cherri (yum), Brandy, Michelle, and Cathy. Only Brandy was there Saturday. She is working the bar and is pregnant, I think. She is still hot-what a lucky guy who impregnated her. The rest of the talent was mediocre but I know it was probably a bad night. Haven is still my favorite and always will be. Left Haven went to Tony's. Too many thugs. I remember you could get a handjob in there by a hillbilly chick from Cecil county, that did not happen that night. Not a lot of talent but a lifer was working-very tan and very tone. Great attitude. Stopped by sherry's, no action there. Maybe I hit all of these spots on a bad night or quarter.

I usually attend clubs in the Philadelpia, Wilmington area. Since I had business in Baltimore I decided to check out the infamous block. What a difference it is here that clubs in Philly. I went to 3 or 4 different clubs and they were all dead. My first stop was the red room because I read a report on here that a dancer Shayla had recently been seen there. She has been around for years I used to chill with here at gold club in Wilmington, any info on whereabouts or recent sightings would be appreciated. There were a few girls in red room that I was gonna try out but I decided to pass because the girl I was looking for was not in attendance and a few of the good looking girls in there went and sat with other customers when they came in so I decided to try other clubs on the block.

A lot of old faces have returned to the Mill. I hear that the rules for dancers have been relaxed, although they still have to play that stupid ass shift pay. Several old and fun / hot girls are back and it's a much better place to go than it was six months ago.
I posted on here a few weeks ago asking if anyone was down to go to the block. Ended up going alone. Started with K&D, place was nice girls were pretty but lighting was brighter than the M&T stadium so I left. Went into the hole in the wall Diving Horse because I've heard many high milage stories about this club. Wasnt too many girls in there, but the fe that were were average and a few above average. $20 dance with fine ass Ebony, wanted FS in club but I declined. Agreed for takeout for .00. Thought I saved her number but realized I didn't when I went out to call her. Was lucky enough to start a conversation with another dancer and offered to take her home. In Ohio the dancers get 60% of whatever the customer spends on her – drinks, dances, etc. That doesn't appear to be the case in Baltimore. Consequently, dancers are high pressure for tips? If the lap dance is $80 and the service is excellent, what's the norm? I've RTFF but am still unclear. Help would be appreciated.

As to tips for simple lap dances. . . Some clubs think they're swanky, and try to set high standards for the tips. Some girls think they are classy and 'above that', and demand a lot for practically nothing. Some girls are happy to be making money doing something other than "you want fries?" Consequently plain lap dance tips range from $20 to equal to whatever the club charged for the lap dance. As with everything else on The Block, it depends on the club, the girl, and how business has been lately.
Greater services vary even more, ask the girl what she wants you to tip her if you get a bottle, but don't hesitate to say "nevermind" if she gets greedy. Keeping in mind the high degree of variability I've found in-club fun generally requires (bottle price + 10 to 20% for the bartender + 25-50% for the girl) I've also had girls decline a separate tip if I buy a bottle, because they're tired and want to skip their turn on stage. Pretty much everything is negotiable, from the bottle price to the bartender's tip to the girl's tip. Bottle prices are the least likely to change from the amounts posted on signs. You can often skip the bartender tip, but that insures they will knock on the door the minute 'time is up' (plus their watch is likely to be running fast). A reasonable tip generally means you'll have all the time you need (within reason).

Help would be appreciated.[/QUOTE]Sadly there is no "protocol". In my opinion it's all based on what was done by the dancer during your lap dance or what she allowed you to do during the dance. She will also try and negotiate money based on what she wants to get from you. It's also based on what the dance cost you and at what bar. The Hustler has $15 dances and depending on what she has done for me, I could tip her another $15 or as little as $5. (just hand her the 20).
Every club, every girl, every shift will get you a different answer and experience.

The Red Room price will vary based on how the bar did during a shift and how close to the end of the shift it is. It also varies based on the girl and bartender. I think they work it out ahead of time about how much their cut will be.

The Block has ( counts fingers from memory...) 17 clubs. The names have changed over the years, so I still think of some of them by names they haven't used in a decade.
Make the rounds - walk in, look around, and walk out of each one.
If you see someone amazing stop, but generally I visit them all and end up with a mental A, B and C list, based on the girls I saw at the bar/on stage.
I then go back and visit the 'good' ones working through the A list and B list until I find what I want. Frequently if I get down to the C list, I call it a night.
An exception is the couple of clubs that are reliable and tend to have girls stick around long enough that a familiar face will be working. I skip the check in for those places because the whole mutual recognition thing means I'm rarely 'allowed' to leave. OTOH it is nice to have a couple of places that can be considered a 'sure thing'. (No point in being specific, the sureness is a product of the fact I've been visiting The Block for 20+ years, and some of the bartenders/managers/doormen, have been there that long as well and let the girls know I'm "OK". Once I had about 4 reliable places, I'm down to 1 1/2.)
As a general guideline, the clubs that want to be fancy-smancy "Gentleman's Clubs" tend to be money vacuums, you end up with a wallet picked clean and that's about it. The dirtiest, dingiest, and darkest clubs tend to be that way because they understand no one is there to look at what is on the stage, much less the decor - these places the girls rarely and barely dance - they would rather hit you up for a bottle almost as soon as you come in the door. In the middle are the best bets, but what is available changes from shift to shift - it depends on the bartender, which girls are working, how recently the liquor board has visited, and how uptight the walking police patrols have been. That said the Pussycat is usually crowded, it seems to be everyone's favorite, and there are reasons for that. Since the Plaza burned (formerly one of the dingiest and therefore a sure thing), I've generally found I have the best luck on the south side of the street, to refine that a little more, places with stairs seem to bring me more luck than those without.
If you've not been there before, a visit to the 2 O'clock club is in order, just for the history. Until 10 or so years ago the building was still owned by Blaze Starr (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blaze_Starr). Unless they re-did it since it changed hands it was one of the last clubs to still show signs of the days when the clubs were burlesque palaces, a real stage, space for a live band, etc. I think the last time I was up there the new management wanted a cover charge - I don't pay cover with a dozen other choices a few steps away, and the glimpse of history is probably not worth a cover charge, but worth checking otherwise.
I rarely visit the clubs beyond The Block, because I've rarely found anything more than a tease available elsewhere ( at least since the Spectrum closed ).

So if you end up visiting at the end of an slow shift, you get quoted prices that are obviously the amount the girl expected to make for the entire night.

It was really slow and when I did find a SW, she wanted double the usual tuition because there were fewer coeds out that night. Not my logic, but in a want it made sense. Did I mention I was also in need of tutoring in the worst way.

Funny thing recently I was at EI in the DC board, and it was Friday evening the place was packed with 30 guys and 20 girls and I was offered $20 for the 3 song VIP room, plus tip. I was pleasantly surprised... I guess because the place was packed she assumed I had other options and offered a good deal...

Make the rounds - walk in, look around, and walk out of each one.
If you see someone amazing stop, but generally I visit them all and end up with a mental A, B and C list, based on the girls I saw at the bar/on stage.
I then go back and visit the 'good' ones working through the A list and B list until I find what I want. Frequently if I get down to the C list, I call it a night.

Back then a bottle would go from anywhere to $80 to $100 or sometimes more and that would include the tip to the girl and the bartender hook up but all you had to know was the art of negoiation as I call it now we talking like late 80's to mid 90's to me it was a litttle easier than it is today but I rarely go down the block now any way because I feel that it's a waste of timie unless you can scor take-out.
