I thought for sure she told me she was going in vacation Sunday. Turns out she left last night after closing time.

Thank God I decided to see her last night instead of waiting 'til Saturday.

I call around lunch time and set up an appointment for 8:00. No problem. On the way over, I pick up a fruit basket; a little change of pace.

I like the cautious way you think. My thought is that it would just seem like "friend" traffic/visitors, and no one would know the better, as long as it wasn't a revolving door scenario, and everyone used common courtesy.
