This was a legit and non sexual business that I visited and there were absolutely no advances or hints of anything other than a mediocre legitimate full body massage. LEO can now stop you for something as simple as having 1 tiny license plate bulb / light out, even though the other one is still lit. They than seize that opportunity to try and get you on something else. I'm ok with using that to capture criminals who are on the run or have warrants against them. I respectfully asked her to turn her head lights off so that she could see that it was actually lit. She then said, well, you need to replace them with brighter ones. Anyway, due to me being in an area of town that I did not fit in, they decided to search my car, obviously for drugs, which I do not partake in. I could have denied them the request to search my car but I had nothing to hide so I let them. Meanwhile, the time they spent searching my car, they could have been doing something more productive.

For a city as small as Nashville we have a disproportionately large police force. I've lived in much bigger cities where you could drive around all day and maybe see one cop. Its obvious that here in Nashville with such a large police force there should be little to no crime. But instead the majority of the police are out to write traffic tickets to regular citizens. Each year they have an article in the newspaper about the record year in fine revenues the police generated. Law enforcement is a business disguised as protection in this city.
It is quite interesting where Law Enforcement chooses to spend it's time. Non-revenue producing rape investigations, nah. Tennessee has over 7000 of those outstanding cause they can't make any money from them. Homicide, nah. No money there either.
Let's see where are our forfeiture laws? Where LE can seize any asset they can make any non-sense claim that an asset the Police covets is associated with crime. Oh yea, first non-violent drug cases. Not getting into that one on this forum. Next, Tennessee just passed a law in which assets may be seized in a similar manner to drug laws except they changed it to human trafficking. Now I'm not for human trafficking, but the Police have already abused these laws and targeted LEGITIMATE Chinese Massage Businesses with these laws.

There are tons of those crimes ha-penning everyday here and some of them turn violent. You got SW's robbing and harming Johns. SW needs drugs. They go find drugs from dope dealer. When they law permits seizure of all assets they "claim" is associated with the crime then one alleged human trafficker who also owns a business or multiple business they stand to make a killing. BTW. These seizure laws are guilty until proven innocent. Your property is gone until you are proven innocent, even then it can take years to retrieve your assets from the Police.
This behavior is nothing short of stealing from private citizens. It nauseates me.

Point taken on the idea where their orders come from.
The argument that Non-Violent crime leads to more violent crime is not completely accurate. This is the same argument that Marijuana prohibitionist use, the Gateway argument. Both of these scenarios are correlated but not causal. Thus the logic that preventing non violent crime will prevent violent crime is flawed.
Your argument seems to condone allowing rape kits to go unprocessed etc. In the idea that focusing on SW will stop violent crime. I don't buy this line of logic.
The hobby is a consensual act between two adults. This SHOULD NOT BE A CRIME under the constitution our country was founded upon. The only reason it is a crime is the influence of the Christian Right who want to enforce their morals on the entire population of the United States.
BTW. If we legalize ALL drugs and convert the current Criminal Justice solution to addiction into a health problem, based on empirical evidence, the addiction rates would be cut in half while unburdening our Criminal Justice System and unloading our Prisons. Cartels would be severely impacted. I can't say with confidence that they would fully retreat but what's left in the black market for them to profit?
