I think Biz's point is that if you KNOW someone has an active disease that you CAN pick up via BBBJ, why would you knowingly increase your odds of infection?

I am not a Dr and I also do not have a agenda in the discussion, but have read reports that Herpes is only transmitted when there is a outbreak and telltail signs. I do not know, but this is what I had read and had also heard form a nurse friend. I know there are conflicting opinions from Dr's and people. Therefore it is still a chance I really do not take when it is a known fact and will not if I know.

I became friends with Heidi as she seemed to be a nice lady and was some what hurting personally. And she had some really nice ladies working from her home.

My relationship with her has always been just friends, did not have sex with her as she is much larger than what I prefer. She knew this and I saw some ladies she had working from her homes.

Nobody "has an agenda" in this discussion. The woman has Herpes and every post by her should include that fact. She does not include that info in her posts so it is our responsibility to keep this information public so that nobody is caught unaware. Whether she is a nice person or not has absolutely nothing to do with the discussion.

Despite what anyone may have heard from a friend who is a nurse or whatever, Herpes can be transmitted in between outbreaks. It is well documented and the CDC has issued warnings in this regard. This statement is especially pertinent to this discussion.

"HSV-1 and HSV-2 can be found in and released from the sores that the viruses cause, but they also are released between outbreaks from skin that does not appear to be broken or to have a sore. Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. I have to totally disagree with that statement. If you are fucking a provider, there is always a chance they could have Herpes or some other STD. I don't expect anyone to disclose that information and I'm sure 99% of providers do not..

Just wear a condom for FS and keep your fingers crossed...that what most guys do.

And I have to take the opposite stance. You can't trust a provider with a STD to be upfront about it - bad for business. But in principal an infected provider SHOULD disclose that fact. If I found out someone I was with was indeed infected and neglected to tell me, I'd be pissed as hell.

I've never fucked a provider without a condom, but one did break on three occasions. One two of those occasions, I realized it within seconds (and washed up and put on a new one), but the other time, it probably took me about a minute, which is a long time in that situation.

I use these Trojan Supra condoms and they are very thin. I'm thinking of using a thicker one with providers because it feels about the same and I'd like to cut down on the risk.

This just proves my BS response to the previous post that 99% of the people cheat and 99% have STD's. That is not the case. I have had sex with over 500 different women and I don't have STD's and I do get tested regularly.

Bottom line is if it is a known fact that a provider has HERPES or any other STD, it should be publicized because we know she is not going to tell you. I will take a chance getting a BBBJ from a stranger but I sure as hell won't take a chance getting one from somebody I KNOW HAS A STD.

I might have a problem once every 12 to 15 months. I didn't use protection with my husband and he NEVER got it. It was when I started doing this that I really thought more about the Valtrex. Even though I didn't have more outbreaks there were more studies that now say you can pass it anytime. My Dr and many other health professionals will still tell you that you can not pass this unless you are having symptoms. I think we are all adult enough to make an 'educated guess' that there is a such thing as drug propoganda (sp). I truly in my heart think I waste my money each month for those pills. I believe that those studies are only there to sell a drug to make rich people richer. However, I have no proof of my theory. So I take them just in case.

What I would be more concerned with than 'herpes heidi' are those ladies that are on drugs. Those that play with out condoms. Those that are simply playing unsafe. You all know they are out there. You all know those ladies that tell you that YOU are special so that is why you get special treatment. My favorites are those that have to get drunk or druged up to see you, then do you think she really wants to be there. If you want to take that risk then that is by all means your choice. But do not assume just becasue she has not chose to be honest as I have that you are safe.

Another thing. I can provide you test results saying I am completely clean. Keep in mind that unless requested, Herpes is NOT on the check for list. Many have it and it never shows up. From what I have been told unless there is a sore to culture you will never know.

I have a great reputation in this hobby with this one little exception. With that said, what would you guys have me do differently. What would make you feel safe and stop with the 'gossip' behind my back. I am here asking as a woman, I am not name calling or starting drama I just want it to stop.

Hi Heidi, it is nice of you to respond. Some people here seem to think that someone with an STD is practically radioactive, but I agree that as long as you are relatively safe, the chances of transmitting anything are very slim.

And I'm sure many other providers have STDs and just haven't been "outed" as such. It is nice of you to be so upfront about it, but I still don't think it's necessary to disclose beforehand if the guy is using a condom for FS, as it sounds like they always do with you.

Well, she did share a lot of info in her post, which is why I liked it.

I actually found your post refreshing - and found myself wincing at having willingly used the "herpes Heidi" nickname that has been floating around for a few years. I apologize.

It's true you've made no secret of her status, and I can respect you for that. I don't think I knew that there were meds that could control outbreaks, or that it had been so long since you HAD an outbreak.

I will say that it is unlikely I will ever see you "professionally". Even though the intellectual reasons for me not to worry about infection are sound, I simply don't think I'd be able to perform with that "what if?" awareness in the back of my mind.

My guess is that more often or not, the people who turn you down are doing it because of the Herpes, providing they asked you first. "Not my type" is a euphamism for "hell no" and is nothing more than polite rejection. Don't take my word for it though - and feel free to tell yourself anything you want if it makes you feel better.

The purpose of this forum is not to placate you, even if you join and mention that you want it to stop. The purpose of this forum is for men to provide and share information to help us find women for sex. Now what kind of monger would I be if I didn't mention that a provider being mentioned has Herpes? Answer: a more honest and altruistic monger than the provider in question. (that would be you)

There are purists that are opposed to providers being members here at all; I am not one of them - but only because I know that in this age of communication there are no secrets and that information wants to be free.
Providers have been reading this forum as long as it has been around. That won't change. Occasionally, one of you steps up to the plate, and I think that's fine too, but if you're going to spew adolescent crap about STD's etc. you're going to be waiting along time before you are no longer a topic of conversation. And if it's respect that you want, well, the only way to get it here is to post content and intel, it doesn't matter who you are. For example: If I am coming to HotLanta for business, would you recommend me a provider who doesn't have Herpes? Never mind, I'll take the most often mentioned advice on the forum: RTFF.

The Centers for Disease Control "fact sheet" clearly states,

"Generally, a person can only get HSV-2 infection during sexual contact with someone who has a genital HSV-2 infection. Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore and may not know that he or she is infected."

And to emphasize, "Transmission can occur from an infected partner who does not have a visible sore".

"Genital herpes can be transmitted sexually both when symptoms are present and sometimes when symptoms are not present."

"There are several days throughout the year (called asymptomatic reactivation, asymptomatic shedding, or subclinical shedding) when the virus may be present on the surface of the skin, but there are no symptoms. Herpes can be passed through sexual contact during this time."

" Asymptomatic shedding applies to the following situations: 1) some lesions are overlooked because they occur in places we simply never look or can't see; 2) some are mistaken for something else—an ingrown hair, for example; and 3) some can't be seen at all with the naked eye. "

NOTE THE SECOND REFERENCE TO AN -- INGROWN HAIR -- ACTUALLY BEING A SIGN OF ASYMPTOMATIC SHEDDING WHICH IS A TIME A PERSON CAN BE CONTAGIOUS. Heidi's doctor said she was not having a HSV-2 occurence, just an INGROWN HAIR. Hmmmm! Might want to get a more knowledgeable doctor.

Both of the references I have cited are not out to sell drugs, but are research institutes.

And FINALLY, Heidi said she is taking VALTREX. The following is right off of the main page of the VALTREX web site.

"There is no cure for herpes, and even with treatment, it may be possible to spread herpes. VALTREX may not prevent all recurrences."

Bottom line is every partner should be made aware that the other person has an STD without having to ask. After that it is up to them to decide if they want to accept the risk or not.
