The California agencies there are thriving even with the much higher rent prices for apartments. Bay Area has way more population that can afford the hobby than PDX area. Frankly, idk why they don't advertise on TnA, because that has a large-ish customer base, which might help drive down prices.

Another example is NYC slice of pizza. You can still get a freshly made slice of pizza around Grand Central for under $2 (the 99 c / slice pizza place is still alive) despite higher COL. Here in PDX, I pay $4/ slice for similar.
