Obviously your citations here have done some good because you have provided factual information that everyone can look at and determine for themselves when to be safe and when not to be safe. As for your Kool Aid remark, I think it's a little beneath a person of your stated knowledge and is presumptious of what I believe and don't believe. One thing I do believe is this. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Is it really worth the risk, not just to me but to others around me, not to be careful? For me the answer is definitely no. I do, however, get a bit worked up when people buy into the scare tactics that date back to the Reagan administration. That's when I was doing my graduate work and when the original government study on AIDS came out.

Well, it didn't really come out, it was recalled within a couple of days. Our "family values" president seemed to like how AIDS had ended the sexual revolution. The original report made it pretty clear that hetero sexual AIDS was not going to be a major issue. Could it and would it happen? Yes. In great numbers? No. The majority from male/female sexual interaction? No. The bulk would and. At that point. Could be traced to drug use.

Can I document this? No. Do you really think the government would admit this publicly? How do I know? Because one of the top Sociologists in the world blew a gasket when he found out the report had been recalled from the university library. I won't say who it was because he is very well known and the era would reveal what university he was at and my work with him would lead anyone reading to narrow down my identity to about a dozen possible people. I will, however, Irish, PM you his name if you so desire to look up his credentials.

Around that time the person who was the New York State's equivilent of Surgeon General made an effort to find out the truths about AIDS. That person (I don't recall the gender) was not content to just accept a person's claim that they could have only accquired the virus from heterosexual contact.

The NY physician did further interviews with the state's heterosexual AIDS cases and found that any woman who got the virus was either an IV drug user (majority) or was having sexual relations with a man who was either an IV drug user or admitted to bi-sexual behavior.

The men in New York state who claimed AIDS through heterosexual content were further interviewed. All but one, eventually, admitted to IV drug use (the majority) or bi-sexual behavior.

This New York information was all documented when the doctor did an interview with Rolling Stone.

Since then (the NY doctor was relieved of that position) government agencies have been forbidden to ask any further questions if someone with HIV infection claims that it could only be from heterosexual contact.

As for the condom companies. Well, the pill was putting their sales down the toilet. Now they don't even promote condoms as birth control. Nor do schools teach birth control. Everything is about preventing disease. The condom companies latched onto the AIDS scare and have been making a fortune from an I'll-informed general public.

So, in a nutshell, I don't advocate unprotected sex with prostitutes. I do cringe at people who, in a nomal relationship, think that each and every person they meet might have AIDS.

I don't think that the chances of contracting HIV from female to male are as significant as the public is lead to believe. Can it happen? Yes. Do I hide inside when it rains because people can get hit by lightning? No. Do I refrain from air travel because planes can crash? No. My personal studies lead me to believe that the chance of female to male HIV transmission fall into the above scenarios' statistical neighborhood.

I don't think the virtues of condoms preventing HIV transmission are as good as the condom companies want you to believe. Remember, they don't give any statistics and ALWAYS back-pedal, reminding you that if you, just once, don't use a condom or, just once, use one incorrectly (what ever that means) your chances just shot way up.

I guess that's a long winded way of saying that, for you, yes it is worth the risk of unprotected sex, even if your number comes up and it affects someone else in your life. If that is your choice then it is your right to make that choice. Others may want to be a little more concerned about others in their life and be cautious. Cautious to them may be over cautious to you and that's OK. It is your choice whether or not to be concerned not just about yourself but about others in your life. Mike, I think we've about beat this horse to death. What do you say we just agree to disagree on this and let those who read the forum check out the sources that have been provided in this debate and decide for themselves what is right for them?

After corresponding with another member here I have a few concerns and a few questions maybe someone can answer. How do you know what these letters are after a charge say like

796.08(5)/F--- PROSTITUTION (HIV POSITIVE)

796.07(2)(E)/M---VOP PROSTITUTION

Remember just the letters after the 08 & 07 is what Im curious to know what they mean.

I have now learned that 796.08 is that we all should stay clear of any woman arrested for this as HIV is very likely. Just for your own sake of not wanting to catch anything unwanted.

If anyone knows that they mean please let me know either by PM or on the board as I think its very important we share this info.

After myself and Piratefan were chatting he brought it to my attention about the numbers and I was like dam its right under our finger tips when we were talking HIV girls.
Note: HCSO is making it known just in there bookings who has issues and so forth but it seems Pinellas uses 768 code for HIV SW. So with that in mind when we see these bookings as most of us do check the jail sites we should inform our little group. The last thing we all want is to get something we cant get rid of.
Im just also wondering if anyone is aware of what the numbers mean. Thanks Irish male for your input.

The numbers you are seeing are the Florida statute that they violated and were arrested under. There you will find the subsections (5) (f).

I would just like to add when someone is arrested for prostituiton, as a part of the booking procedure you have to see the nurse and get tested for HIV right there and then. Now remember this. It takes a while before the results comes back, if it is positive it will be added to the charge later. We can therefore not see it the same day on the arrests sites if they have HIV or not.

Sometimes the informaiton is there the first day because she provided the information she is hiv positive at the time of the arrest/the time she sees the nurse, or they already got it in their files from before.

I also want to mention there are LOTS of hiv positive SW around, I can name a few in Saint Pete from my spa days where a good number of girls (druggies) ended up on the street (sad). But I'm sure their name has changed from then to now and I haven't seen them in years. And I hear from people that has seen them walking the streets. And I read your post sometimes and know who you talk about about. Many are not healthy (hepatatis and hiv) and they haven't been for years. But thats the risk you take guys chasing those type of girls, and I'm sure you know this very well so who am I to lecture grown men. Anyways, just thought I would comment on this and share my info, thanks.

All SW arrested for prostitution do get screened for STD's and HIV as part of the process in Pinellas and Hillsborough. However, a SW does not get HIV positive added to the rap sheet if they test her and they find out after the arrest that she is HIV positive. The statute refers to someone who knows they have HIV and they still engage in prostitution (ie they get arrested again for prostitution). It would be nice if they would add the information to an arrest report as soon as it is revealed, but that is not the law. Someone cannot be charged under the HIV transmission statute unless they have already been informed previously that they have HIV and still are engaging in prostitution.

Also, if you can name a few SW with HIV with 100% certainty, it would be beneficial to the members of this board to share that information. Name changes or not, sharing the knowledge you do have would be appreciated by the users of the board, especially if you read our posts and "know who we are talking about (assuming that you are inferring that you know these specific girls are sick)."

Also, it should be noted that "if there are LOTS of SW with HIV", I do find it odd that there are rarely HIV charges under the felony statute as part of an arrest sheet. Over the past year I can only think of four individuals who have been charged in Hillsborough and Pinellas combined as such. Also I spoke to a provider that had to come back for re check since her test came back inconclusive and the procedure in this case (tampa) was to come back and be re checked to make sure of the result. It took more than a month before she got the initial results back and then got the message to come back in again.

I did not know all STD's was checked when arrested for prostitution, might be true, was always told about hiv.

At least where getting two views and collecting information so we all know whats going on better than we did before. I know I want sure myself and Im happy to hear anything on this subject that will help me make an informed choice. Thanks to all that have PM and posted whatever information they have on this subject. Even names of providers would be nice and to post them in Steel's new thread would be really appreciated.

Our story begins with our 'HERO' perusing the offerings of the Tampa Backpage. HERO chanced upon several entrees fitting his initial criteria - female, age, description, presentation and price, and HERO selected an offering that intrigued him about 'deestressed'. Though HERO's other criteria were not directly met through this offering, with dogged determination, HERO found the remaining information that conformed to his criteria. Based on this collection of information HERO decided to set an appointment with said 'Mrs. Robinson'.

The initial contact was quite painless - easy to converse with, and verbal confirmation of his/her specific, and particular expectations. A reservation was set, and preparations were made.

At the appointed dessert hour, HERO and 'Mrs. Robinson' retired to the boudoir, where she enjoyed an aged loin of beef with hollandaise sauce. An offering of sole was proffered, but declined by HERO. After a brief respite, they both participated in the preparation of a standard sunny side egg - over medium, butter on the toast, but hold the hash browns!!!

At the conclusion of the meal, HERO and 'Mrs. Robinson' left well-fed and satiated. This meal has been reviewed, and despite the years, she's an 'oldie but a goodie'.

If your thinking its a swinger setup then your going about it wrong. You really need to be more into the D/s thing and similar bondage if you want to attend. Since thats most of what your going to get. I wouldnt want you to think its just a big gang bang.

Lmao, speedracer, thanks for your humor. I often at desperate times, I do use the services of 5 sisters, yes. However, having an excellent massage and to top if off with Happy Ending would be ideal for me. Uncle LEO is too much for me to watch out for over my shoulder in the streets.
