Second, a budget for lunches, dinners, drinks. Third, a disposable phone or app with minutes, and a free email address. Finally, lots and lots of time.

When you sign up, you'll need a picture for your profile. Google Reverse Image Search is your friend here. Take a real picture of yourself, reverse search it for similar images, find someone who looks something like you, and use their image. Don't use your Facebook profile picture. Don't use a picture with other people you know in it.

You can make up whatever details you like, but my advice is to make your profile fit whatever believable, larger story you want to tell. If you put down that you're single, then you would be available nights, right? Unless, of course, you work nights or have some other reason to be busy. Give it some thought before you post your profile. You can't put a phone number or email address on your profile, and this is enforced. They also encourage you not to use your real name.

Then, messages will start to come in. The search function is easy and intuitive. Beware, however, that every time you look at a member's profile, they will be notified. If you "favorite" someone, they will be notified. When you read a message someone sends you, they can tell by a little icon on the messaging page. The default is that you can see when someone joined and when they were last active, although this can be turned off. In general, this is not like facebook with the ability to silently stalk anyone you like. Rather, your every move will be seen by the sugar babies, and they will come out of the woodwork if they see you looking at their profile.

Then the dance begins. My advice is to be respectful, and polite, but early on make clear you're looking for private time and intimacy. Those code words seem to work wonders. You will hear from some of the women, "private time is ok, but of course no sexual contact, this is just companionship. " If you seek conversation only, go right ahead. It's possible some of them are just saying that as a cover, but I think the majority of these women actually buy into the facade of the site, and no means no.

From other women, you will hear a middle ground: "I'd like to be comfortable with you in public before I spend time with you alone. " These might be worth pursuing, but beware. One woman wanted $500 to have what would clearly be only drinks and conversation with her. I declined, so she told me I was mistakenly looking for an escort on a Sugar Baby site and cut me off. OK.

Finally there is the easiest category, women who are comfortable with the suggestion of "private time. " One woman bluntly told me she didn't have a place we could go to be alone, but I would have to provide one. Pretty clear sign.

Still, it's not necessarily straightforward. One very sexy young woman made clear she understood the deal. We met for dinner, got along, but she needed to leave, so we agreed to meet again. She went so far as to message me with a price: $300 "per adventure" paid in advance. OK, I thought, the masks are off. On the appointed day she asked where we were meeting. I texted back the name of a hotel. She blew up. Apparently asking her to meet me at a hotel made her feel like a "common prostitute. " Um, you actually quoted me a price, lady. If all goes well, linger, then say something like "I'm having such a good time, I wish I could keep spending time with you. What are your plans?" If she says she has none, try to seal the deal. "We could go have a drink, or maybe talk about going somewhere private. " That's a carefully worded sentence, and you have an out. You only said you want to talk about it. But if she's ok with it, then suggest "I could see if they have a room available. ".

My best success so far was before I moved to Maryland: a young, intelligent, extremely hot Asian woman in her twenties. After a nice lunch and a drink, she's agreeable to the idea of getting a room. I gave her a little money and sent her for more drinks, mostly so she doesn't hear my real name at the front desk. We went upstairs and talked more in the room over our drinks, building the anticipation. Finally we attacked one another. She tore my clothes off and sucked and fucked me like she meant it. A few other suggestions: Your membership is monthly and expensive, so collecting email addresses and phone numbers by private message is to your advantage. As your membership runs out, make sure to save the info on members you might want to pursue. Make that month count, put in the time, and you'll have one or two fantastic regulars. Keep your real name out of it. Use that disposable phone and free email address exclusively.

I find the women, for the most part, give up their real information easily. I can find the actual names, phone numbers, facebook pages, and more for most of the women that I met in person and many I only messaged with on the site. Don't make the same mistake, especially when so many of the women can be touchy about the nature of what the site is really all about. One of the women you're "courting" could turn on you, upset that you're "implying something," and suddenly you're in trouble if she knows your identity.

I make no promise using these sites will help you find "better" or "cheaper" than backpage or eros-guide or anything like that. In my experience you can find some women who are full-time pros, the same women from backpage, at roughly the same prices. You probably won't find too many $40 car-date girls if that's your thing, but you never know. It's the others, the amateurs who are morally ok with this but not quite at the pro level, that get me going. I think there's all sorts on Sugar Baby sites, from perfect women who expect to be paid to talk to you to barely-literate strippers. It's about the thrill of the chase, and the promise of a relationship that's slightly more interesting, usually with a woman who genuinely wants to please you, because it's in her own long-term interest. Maybe 1/10 end up meeting. Some of those are my choice, they send more pics and I don't like them, or I do my research on facebook or Maryland Case Search or Backpage or whatever and bow out (found one young woman who was on the sex offender list, although who knows for what, but I didn't want to mess with that.) I have been having luck on SA and WYP and you need to weed out the expensive ones anget the ones that are looking for side funds. They can be found but it takes time and effort.

I think 500 a month is an excellent deal for you, so long as you are leaving completely satisfied. Is this amount in addition to hotel fees or is there a housing arrangement as well? She only wanted like 600 and was going to be evicted, would take 300 but I told her would never agree to that with out meeting she then went silent.
