Usurpation? Posted this here also because that is where it belongs.
Who is it exactly and how are they attempting to hijack this forum? There have been a few comments here reflecting a coup of some sort.
I have not seen where any group or individual has tried to take over 'Power of the Cincinnati Board. '
The only power in place that I know of is Jackson. If there was some kind of election, empowerment or coup that I missed would someone please bring me up to speed and let me know whose power is in jeopardy?
If not, as far as I know Jackson is firmly in place and there are no rebels actively planning a coup.
So, if Jackson is still in power and there is no coup attempt in place the use (or misuse I should say) of the words usurp or usurpation are being mistakenly bandied about to try and show a yet to be achieved level of intellect or incite a coup of their own. Hmmmm, something to consider I suppose.
Usurp –
1. Take (a position of power or importance) illegally or by force.
2. Take the place of (someone in a position of power) illegally: supplant
3. Encroach or infringe upon (someone's rights)
Usurpation –
1. The act of usurping. LOL! Just had to throw that in, could not help myself.
I have seen no signs of anyone using force or illegal means to hijack this forum from Jackson.
I have also not seen anyone supplanting anyone of authority on this board since Jackson is the sole authority here and sees to be firmly in power.
I have also not seen one person or group encroaching or infringing upon anyone's right to post what ever is on their mind on the forum.
So, please all of those that are reporting the insurgent usurpation movement please identify these people and show us the acts and proof you have of their actions to hijack this board from Jackson and their insidious acts of infringement that have actually kept members from exercising their constitutional rights of free speech on this board.
We want to know who they are and what exactly they have done.
Here is your opportunity to step up to the mic and expose these insurgents for what they are.
The key here is you need to bring us factual accounts of these acts, not just bold type yelling of opinions and acronyms and misspelled posts full of illogical rants. Bring us documented, actual proof of these acts. If you do this I am sure by the majority of us reporting these acts of peril to Jackson's authority here, he will permanently ban those members so that we can rid ourselves of this pestilence.
If your only qualms really are that a few people are attempting to add information to the forum to help those that need the assistance and know this and will use it to their benefit and also for those that need it and are not sufficiently coherent to realize they need to use it. Then go ahead and post your complaint boldly and plainly. Identify who you have a problem with. Point out their acts of usurpation for everyone to see instead of hiding behind veiled comments.
If your issue is that you are tired of being told you can't spell, for God's sake use a spell checker, stop posting or take it like the grade school grammar level student that you are and quit crying about being picked on by claiming people are conducting subversive usurpation to the board.
The bottom line is 'If you don't like the direction of the board get involved and change it for the better instead of sitting on your hands complaining like 13 year old little girls. That only makes the board a worse place than some already think it is. Get involved, participate, and invite others to participate. Like Cintixtreme in part so eloquently stated 'Jackson seems fine to provide the forum and allow minimal intrusion on his part, other than to squash posts that out someone, put the forum in jeopardy, or openly attack someone. The rest he lets us work out for ourselves. '
'Work out for ourselves, ' seems to me this means get actively involved, participate invite active participation from others. Not sniping and complaining about covert usurpation operations targeting Jackson or forum member's right to speak freely.
Just remember the right to free speech ends when a second person enters the theater and you yell fire and there is no fire. So if you want to blast, flame and other wise attack someone with no cause or justification you have crossed the free speech line. If you have actual documented, facts, examples and proof of misdeeds then you are indeed within your rights to speak your mind and show your proof for all to see so that there is complete transparency for all.

BTW, This should all really be in the Rants, Raves and Opinion Thread but I didn't want to put that in the body of the post for fear of being accused of usurpation. Usurpation, that really really just kills me LOL!
Lets have a better year than last
This year is starting off completely wrong on the Cincinnati Board. The drama level is almost a daily read on most of the 20 Threads that we don't need. Maybe it's time to get back to Basic good Factual information.
Objectivity is what is needed on Reviews, latest finds on the SW front, what providers to steer away from and what ones or legit, and importantly LEO activities on the streets and methods on busting Hobbyist and providers.
Objectivity more so than your subjective opinions. We all have them so lets learn to accept members with other perspectives. You can learn a lot from other ideas and you don't have to counter against someone's point of view each and every time. Adding your ideas is better than arguing against.
LEO do read this board and that's a fact. Lately they're probably having a good laugh on Us with all this scrabbling and name calling among all of us.

You are way too new to get involved in this discussion as the water is cold, deep and murky. Read the PM I sent you and if that is not a sufficent explaination you may want to PM seniors like Getnati, Ky Guy 123, Stimulus etc.
The short answer to your question is yes, in the past there have been some thoughts and / or evidence that some providers have posted reports on themselves. Read the Louisville board, there was recently a board feud on this topic that Jackson actually had to get involved in.
Learn to swim, then consider diving into deep waters such as these.
But understand this very clearly. I am making no claims, accusations or insinuations regarding this or any particular post and the names were changed to protect the innocent.
