Boy, the location of this place couldn't be better for a FS spa. But, unfortunately, it isn't. No table shower. Not much chance of the place surviving if they don't do extras, however. I checked the location on google maps and I went to visit thinking what I just wrote ("what a perfect spot for a spa"). Memories of Waterbury past ran through my head. When I got there I noticed that there was no "ring in" procedure. You can can just open the door (bad sign #1). Bad sign #2 was there was only one woman there. She was an unattractive Asian woman somewhere between 40 and 60."You want massage?" she kept asking while making massage motions with both of her hands. I asked about a table shower and she replied "no shower." I had already decided no. If all I was looking for was a therapeutic massage with a happy ending by an unattractive older woman (old woman, more likely) , I could have gone to the close by Mass spots. Honestly, I want a hot bikini girl Asian massage if all I am going to get is a jerk. Maybe those days are quickly ending, but I sure-as-shit hope not. So, I left.
Maybe this place will figure it out. Maybe not. But I am not heading there for anything less than what I can get (and don't bother with) in my own backyard,
Had my hopes up. Oh well.
Serenity Spa in West Hartford

I walked into the Serenity Spa in West Hartford late this afternoon. I was greeted by a young, pretty Asian girl with a nice body who told me I would have to wait 5 minutes. Normally I would have waited, but she was wearing blue jeans and what looked like snow boots. I wasn't getting a good vibe, so I made my exit.
