I've read through this board for a week (an hour each day) in preparation of my first trip to Vegas. First trip, and alone (with no wife in tow). Haven't seen much talk about LE. After reading your posts, I was inclined to think that I should look for CGs at some of the bars (at the Bay, Bellagio, Luxor, MGM in particular) or to walk between the Bay and the Luxor or between the NY and Excalibur, hoping to be approached by one of those reported young SW. Now that you suddenly mentioned LE, hmm.

Newcomers should be aware that THIS is NOT the main thread containing most of the information on rip-offs in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately there is a discontinuity because admin created some tidy looking standardized threads with insipid generic names that left much information orphaned, and most of what you need to know on this topic in this town is not at all time sensitive. That's what lead to a trickle of only two posts a month here, even though every day in Vegas pretty much continues to define the standard for the major league world championship of scamming. The same stuff goes on for decades in the same way in the same places with refinements and variations. Regulars here are well aware of it, and don't usually go reposting the same thing over and again in different threads, but newcomers who most urgently need to read the accumulated information are least likely to see it, and should be aware of the thread titled "Clip-joints, scams, and rip-offs" which is below the break at the end of the "sticky" threads. At least the first page of that thread is vital for first time visitors to this town. At the very least, pay special attention to the link in Post #9 of that thread on 7-05-05 so you don't easily get steered and gored.

Are the girls at pretty Maids in a row legit? They get great reviews on lvfever and blasted on craiglist, but I can't find anything else on them.

Please help me out because Alex and Niki are hot.

OK, In Vegas it's either hotel limo, or cab ride, if as we all know most cab's are on the take and get a bounty per customer, Can't we tell him to take ten or 15 off the ride or ride for free? Just a thought lol

Yeah sure, you could try to split the kickback with him, but if you let him take you to one of the clip joints, then you will be paying through the nose once you get delivered to a place where you absolutely positively will be ripped off, or worse if you try to get out without paying. The theory might be worth trying if you go to one of the more legit titty bars that YOU have selected, then you might try getting the driver to eat part of your cover charge, but the better strip clubs that don't operate like clip joints won't be the ones paying the biggest kickbacks to find and recruit suckers to feed into their system. If you are going with a group of buddies, then I suppose the total amount of the bounty per head might in theory give you some bargaining power to work with. I think they are likely to be a little more skilled than you at the game they play all day every day, but if you want to try your hand playing the professional scammers, be my guest, let us know how it works out for you.

And Scores etc don't play the same game as the others, I have STILL not been to a real strip joint in Vegas, I think I walked by something downtown don't remember going in, I hear they work over 100 girls a night at the rhino, not sure if I would enjoy something that big, and the extras are hard enough to get when you have to work between ten to see who's working, I can't imagine anything but hanging out for a bit then doing something else.

The legit places can get repeat business, while it's unlikely anyone would ever ask on their own to go to a clip joint like Sensations or the Can Can, or go there twice to get fleeced again. A legit titty bar might be paying twenty bucks a head so the drivers don't boycott them, while some clip joints might give the cabbie as much as a hundred or more at the back door, and they WILL be making their money back.

The worst, in my experience, are the escorts who promise one thing and deliver another--for a much higher price.

Many of the web sites actually show photographs of porn actresses and lead unsuspecting customers into believing THAT is the woman who will show up at the door.

Let me throw some good info out here for anyone visiting vegas.

If your coming to town and want some adult fun beware.

There is alot of clup joints, some bad strip clubs, some bad swing/sex clubs, and alot of bad hookers, overpriced or just a rip off or you may get robbed

Alot of the hookers in this town will try getting you for as much as possible if they cut you a deal and you turn your back on them alot of them will bolt out of your room some may just roll you and take your money these girls are rarley a good deal and if you do get sex you will probably spend 200 and up.

There are asian incall houses all over town that are good and safe and only 150. 00 for full service you won't get ripped off at these places.

The brothels out of town are very expensive be prepared to spend 1000. 00 or more if a driver takes you out there they get usually about 30%. Be very careful trying to get laid here.

If your going to strip clubs the newer and larger clubs are great with great service and alot of girls the nude clubs are pretty bad in town due to no alcohol so they charge more for the entertainment to make up for the no drinking the swing clubs in town are soft the red rooster is good but for an older crowd the green door is good only on fri and sat but is too expensive for single guys 110. 00.

The other swing clubs in town are nice but noone goes there so its not worth your money. The clip joints are places like hard bodies spa sensations spa can can room and other off the path odd places these places will lure you in for no real fun.

Limo drivers and cab drivers do know where the action is but if you don't get an honest driver they will steer you towards the clip joints that pay more.

I do drive a limo here in town but DO not take people to these shit places.

I don't work with hookers in town they are a rip off.

I can recommend asian incall houses but don't offer rides to these places and don't take kickbacks I just like to see my people get a good deal.

Also I do give free rides and free drinks to the best strip clubs in town that is how we do make our money off the strip clubs but I don't take people to the bad clubs only the clubs that fit your wants and needs.

mrjunkbox seems honest to me. the one time i called him and don't flame me, just speaking my peace here, but i don't know him from adam. anyway, again the one time i called him, he did steer me to a asian house that i was aware of on my own, so i just wanted to see if he knew of different places than me, or if he was only self promoting.

he never asked for anything, only gave good information and please take this for what it's worth, he sounds like guy just trying to help others out.

Thanks for the nice words, as I've always said I like to see people come into this crazy town and get a good deal when I take guys to strip clubs I make my money otherwise I don't need anyones money, if they want to use my limo service then I earn otherwise I like to see guys get a good deal, hell I'm a gut too and like a good deal.

I would be very surprised if you ever had an LE problem at any of the hotels you mentioned. Go to a video poker bar and have a drink. It won't be hard to tell who's working. Be smart and wait for them to proposition you. Believe me they will. Depending on where your staying they'll ask for a lot of money. If you negotiate right you'll get most of them to take $$. Make sure that after you settle on a price you have the amount of time they'll stay and the services they'll provide already worked out before you go upstairs.
