Anybody planning on going to the PI anytime soon?
I've never been there and I'd like to go with somebody who has (and doesn't mind having a wing man).
Dan,
Actually, with Thailand, you get the best of all worlds. There are many that have Chinese blood.
AT2
It's not the blood, it's the white skin. I do not care what race they are, just pretty and "lighter" skin.
I guess pretty over-rides skin.

It depends on how you want to operate while you're there whether you'll need a wing man or not. If you want to pick up legit girls, then go to the Greenbelt clubs (like Cafe Havana). They have stunning model type Filipinas there.
If you're going there to monger, just tell the cabbie to take you to P. Burgos Street. Walk in to ANY club and you'll have to beat the honeys off of you. I spent one night from 8p-5a in the area clubs there. Had sex with three girls total--(a threesome at Bottoms Bar), and went with a girl from another bar to a pay-by-the-hour hotel and had PSE sex. I bought rounds and rounds and rounds of drinks all night, paid for the karaoke room, fee for all the girls, etc. So spending as freely as possible for the whole night only cost me about $500 US. I could've spent a fraction of that and had a great time.
There are two types of Filipinas. Those who work in the sex industry and those who don't. Those who don't are pretty conservative and require work, time and money to bag.
If you want to try a different area than Makati you can go to the Edsa complex. I don't think the play there is as rampant as on Burgos Street.
And then there's always Angeles City (two hour cab ride north) which rivals Thailand for sex experiences.

Dan,
That's what I meant. They are white skinned beauties. The white skin comes from the predominately chinese blood (not literally) they have. But the mix is where the exotic comes in. I like all colors, so it's not a big deal to me, but there's a definite class distinction in Thailand. White skin is normally associated with high class and they are all around. At the high end clubs, Soapies, etc. Bangkok is a melting pot of hotties!
This website is a good example of the mix. This is a bait and switch operation, but the girls do exist and work for other agencies around the world. Many of the photo's have been confirmed by other hobbyists'. This escort service, just ripped off the pics. Just throwing this out as an example. The Pent Executive club has several like them.

I'm in BKK right now (got in last night) and will be here through the end of next week! I plan to visit the major soapies over the next few nights!

Hypo,
Gotta agree, some of the P.Burgos street bars are like a pool of pirahna's. They swarm and attack. Some will try to whip your dick out, right in the open. There are some others, which are not quite as in your face. Must admit, P.Burgos can be alot of fun, but the bar fines and requested tips have skyrocketed.
Edsa is definitely more laid back. There's also the LA cafe. A/C is a great drinking town with lot's of cheap sex. The selection is not as good though. Well, it's time for dinner and then it's time to hit the bars!
My guess is that I will hit some AMP's once I get back in town, just to avoid going cold turkey from my BKK trip! LOL!

Especially if a person isn't already an experienced international traveler, it's understandable to have some concern about making a first trip to the Philippines alone. However, needing to coordinate vacation periods with another traveler can result in delaying the trip, or even in cancelling the trip if the other traveler has an unexpected problem or change of plans. That happened to me years ago, and I then decided to make my first trip alone.
If you do decide to go alone, I would recommend Angeles City over Metro Manila for your first trip. The entertainment area of Angeles City is relatively compact and has a "small town" feel to it. With the traffic situation in Metro Manila, it can take a while to travel between the several entertainment areas there. It's easier to learn your way around in Angeles City, and in my opinion the customers are generally more friendly in Angeles City bars. Angeles City bars also have a payment system that eliminates any need to negotiate a price with a girl, which you might find easier on your first trip.
There are many guys who came to Angeles City alone on their first trip and had a great time. Of course, that's not to say that Metro Manila isn't also lots of fun, but for a first trip by a "newbie" on his own, personally I think Angeles City would be preferable.

Fly in on Philippine Airliines. You'll leave Hawaii in the morning and arrive there early afternoon. You arrive at the newer international terminal. After customs and picking up your luggage, proceed to the taxi service counter. Tell them what part of Manila you wish to go to. I would recommend staying in the Makato area. It is very cosmopolitan there. You'll pay them a flat fee, they'll give you a ticket, and you'll be fine.
If you take Continental, it arrives at the OLD terminal around midnight. Scary... This is where the story of taxi robberies come from.

Hypo,
The other option, if you ever wanted to see Japan, is to use JAL. Spend a few days in Japan and then hit the PI. The stop over is at probably no additional to very little additional cost to you. The downside, you lose some play time and most of the flights leaving Tokyo hit Manila late at night.
It's about 3:00am in the morning here in BKK. I'm still in the early stages, where I keep waking up. The good news is a couple of cuties just walked into the internet cafe. Probably Nana girls, who did not get hooked up.
Word of warning for those who go to Manila or venture out to Angeles City. The ride is not the most comforting. It looks like one slum after another and you always feel alittle uneasy going down some dark nasty streets. Especially on the long ride out to AC. Once you have been there a few times, you get over it.
Time to check out the cuties! See Ya!

Yes, I always fly Philippine Airlines when going to the Philippines. They have the only non-stop flights between Hawaii and the Philippines; their terminal (the Centennial Terminal) is better than the old and congested terminal used by other airlines; and they have a relatively liberal mileage program (Mabuhay Miles).

BKK and the PI are both on my "MUST DO" list. One of the these days I'll have the time and the money - at the same time!
Glad to hear you're having fun on your trip AT2. I look forward to your continuing progress reports!
Happy mongering,
CA
Fellow mongers,
I ask you for some help in selecting a (cheap) travel agency as I wish to travel to Thailand this winter. I am already in the process of acquiring a passport.
Basically I want 4 walls and a bed. Doesnt have to be a 5-star hotel.
Then again, I dont want a ghetto rat-infested pig sty either.
Thanks in advance,
Hinode

Emerson Travel at 535 Ward Avenue (telephone: 597-1818) has always provided me with good service and competitive airfares for travel to the Philippines. Although I haven't used them for travel to Thailand, they specialize in travel to Asian destinations.

Hinode,
Check out the following hotels. All within 1,280 to 2,380 baht and good value. Dynasty Inn Grande Soi 6, Majestic Grand (between Soi 4 and 6), and Grand President Soi 11. A cheap alternative, which I have not used, is the Dynasty Inn on Soi 4. They just re-did the place and it's 1,280 baht a night.
I like the Dynasty Inn Grande on Soi 6, since it's new, nice and roomy. Close enough to Nana Plaza and the BTS Nana station.
Have fun!

Brothers,
Thanks for the responses both PM and on this thread, I will try em all out and get a lot of 411.
Just today though, a co-worker said that I might need a VISA (tourist?!?) when I go to Thailand. Please tell me this is NOT so. If it IS TRUE, how much does a (tourist) VISA cost? How long does it take to get it? WHERE do I get it? Can someone please clarify? I thought just being in a foreign country for 1 week (or so) I didnt need a VISA.
I thought this would be more like Vacations Hawaii, just book, pay, and fly to Vegas.
