I think it is about not doing stupid stuff. Don't attract attention. Don't break the law. What laws, you may ask? Well, the obvious is, don't violate the states prostitution laws. Florida laws define prostitution as the "giving or receiving of the body for sexual activity for hire. " The state describes "sexual activity" as a wide range of sexual activities. Florida Statutes Sections 796.03-796.09 is tedious reading.

But the things that gain attention and don't get you arrested but do get you harassed, illegal you-turns, tail lights out, not using turn signals properly, stopping in the middle of OBT to offer a chick a ride (duh!) Loitering, the list goes on. The specifics:

You-turn. The law states that you can make a turn in the opposite direction (a you-turn), on any street, as long as it can be made safely and without interfering with the other traffic. The exception is if it is prohibited by signage. You-turns with no traffic coming. Safe. You-turns in the path of an oncoming 18-wheeler. Unsafe.

Tail lights out. This is an interesting one. The test for stopping someone with a tail light issue is this, it is totally dependent on whether the bad light causes a safety hazard. That said, I am probably not going to say to a LEO who has stopped me because my tail light is cracked, "Officer, are you aware the Florida Supreme Court held in Doctor v. State that cracked tail lights cannot support a vehicle stop unless said lights created a safety hazard?" (596 So. 2 d 442,446 Fla. 1992). That would fall under the "don't do stupid stuff" phrase mentioned above. To me, poking a bear is stupid stuff.

Turn signals. There is a 100 ft. Rule in Florida. Easy enough. An attorney told me that the general rule is, engage your turn signal before your brake and you should be fine.

Stopping in the middle of OBT to pick up a girl. If that requires explaining then, yeah, this is a bad hobby to choose.

Loitering. Since this has come up recently around The Quadrant I was wondering just what it means. Under Section 856.021, Florida Statutes, it is unlawful for any person to "loiter and prowl" in a place, at a time, or in a manner not usual for law-abiding individuals, under circumstances that warrant a justifiable and reasonable alarm or immediate concern for the safety of persons or property in the vicinity. The essence of loitering or prowling in Florida is that the accused engaged in unusual or suspicious behavior that causes justifiable concern that a crime is about to be committed against persons or property. That, my friends, is pretty fuckin' vague. No wonder it worked so well in The Quadrant Raid a couple weeks back.

So, the next time you make an illegal you-turn, forget to signal, have all your tail lights out, stop in heavy traffic on OBT to roll down your window and yell at a chick, "Hey, want to fuck me for thirty bucks?" maybe you should take a deep breath.

I am not a full-time cruiser and there are certainly a few guys on here with far more experience than me. I have only had a LE "harass" me one time. I had been cruisin' Lockhard with no luck and stopped in the parking lot of a vacant office to wait for a while to see what might come up. I grabbed my Mifi and laptop and did some business related emails and stuff. A fine young member of our esteemed sheriff department pulled up beside me and asked what I was doing. I held up the laptop and said, "Business emails. " He then asked if I knew I was loitering in a known gang area. I am thinkin', huh? This is one of the busiest roads in the world, what gang activity is he referring to? Plus, the red necks of Lockhard probably have "gang" members for lunch. There was some ugly graffiti on the buildings, so I thought the better of it and asked if I moved to the CVS parking lot, would that be better?

OK. Got to get back to my day job.

Anyway it was a hot one and saw one in a green shirt look exhausted sitting at the bench next to Smoky the Bear. She looked like the heat had wiped her out. Also saw Baby Jamie again at the 711 standing at the pump. Still can't understand how she just hangs out there all the time like that. She looks like an employee there.

Some a bunch of girls out, but many had scarred up faces. It really shows during the day. When I'm finally about to head out (always seems to happen like that) I see 2 pairs of girls walking towards McD. I go around and pull into the parking lot. I was surprised to see one girl looking very nice and clean. I gave her the wave and she jumped in.

She was wearing a purple sweater dress in the heat. First thing she asked me for was to get her a drink.

Anyway, she said her name was Nikki and she used to be on BP. Then I remembered seeing her in her ad. She looks exactly how she did in her ads. She said she had to go off BP because some husband and wife management team had started harassing her and also she was too broke for a room.

She was real cool and did not have the the-induced over talking / twitching thing at all. Loved the red hair and blue eyes. She looks even hotter when she puts on her glasses. She followed instructions and did not try to control the situation. No marios were discussed until after the deed was done. I did tell her I would take care of her beforehand though.

I don't go into coins since you guys will laugh at how much I forked over, but it was not too unreasonable and I don't mind paying the extra. She asked for the amount and with the great service I didn't hesitate paying it. But compared to the other amounts I see posted here I seem to be overpaying by a lot.

Anyway Nikki is IMHO the best I've run into in the Quadrant. She asked me to drop her off at BP but after the SJ warnings I told her I would not. I dropped her off on Landstreet by the escape hatch. It seems the girls do not like getting spotted walking into BP.

A lot of girls will be jumping ship from Backpage to the other BP. You still got to watch the escape hatch. I've seen LEO with binoculars spotting the hatch. You def are smart not to pull in the place, it's asking for trouble. Nikki sounds like a good replacement for some of those we've lost. Never worry about what you pay, $100 to some is like $20 to others. It's all about you and her BOTH being happy. I love a girl that will wait for the coins.
