In my limited experience I'd have to say that the bowl really takes the shine off the straight providers. Most of my income derives from commission, so it is variable to a certain extent. This variation allows me to distribute funds in a way that's not noticeable or traceable by my SO. It works out pretty well for extracurricular activities.
