Obviously when there is a split of information such as this because two parties are diametrically opposed to one another, then that creates a little more confusion when trying to straighten out the information. So why even have a forum like this where people can post information? Because it is valuable. The only question is what you choose to do with it. Having a provider who is well reviewed and has had no complaints is a no-brainer. But if you have a good provider that occasionally has a few bad comments, then maybe you approach with a little more caution. Maybe this is one of those situations where you approach, but do it cautiously with this provider.

I agree dressing in disguise and what not is probably overboard but who knows what other jams you could unwittingly become a part of based on someone being able to trace your phone from a girls call log. E. G. She ODs or is involved in some other crime and they get your number and come calling on you. So, having a separate phone for mongering is one level of security from SOs and the like but still not very secure.

Pre-paid with cash is probably the best option for the average all-around risk.

I want to RAVE about the girls that update their recurring ads when their situation changes. For example, I see Cristen Cremes posted that she is out sick for a while:

On the flip side, I want to RANT about the more numerous girls who put an ad out there that repeats daily for 30 days, and leave it up even when they are not available. I understand if uncle LEO picked them up unexpectedly, but if they're traveling out of town, under the weather for a while, or whatever it would seem to be to their own advantage to either update the ad with their availability if they want to maintain a presence, or simply take it down until they are available again. That way they don't get annoyed by texts and calls coming in, and mongers don't post reviews about getting crickets because they know the deal.

While I am ranting, I really hate the recurring ads that say "today only!" for weeks, or say "this weekend" without any date, so you're not sure if it was really last weekend and just hasn't been updated.

I try to keep my ad updated the best I can since my availability is a bit squirrely. I figure its the least I can do since I can't always be available.

Don't register it with your personal info if you can avoid it. Buy minute cards when you need to re-up (minutes don't expire even though your service period might). Stash the phone and the charger in a good hiding place at home. It's really all you need to do. I've had mine for four years plus and haven't had a problem. It's less stress than using your "public" smartphone and we all know that's healthier for us.

Sometimes I'll use my "real" smartphone to navigate to a provider address, but I avoid logging in to Google maps. That way there is no obvious history sitting on my phone.

The dumbest thing I ever did had nothing to do with all our fancy technology. I had used a sheet of paper with written directions to a hotel in town and a girlfriend found it sitting in the car door compartment. Luckily I had a professional excuse at the time, but I learned from that mistake! It's easy to slip up in this hobby if you don't keep vigilant.

The NSA and / or other military departments will soon be (if not already) drone-scouting all of our movements, whether you have a mobile phone or not. So if you're worried about getting busted for mongering, stick to civilian life. They've got us all clocked and can pull that trigger anytime they need to. So don't run drugs, commit art theft, or other high-level crimes that invite investigative scrutiny. No one gives a fucking shit if you're paying for a little pussy now and again. It's not important unless you're running for public office and you're to the left of Attila the Hun.

I did not suggest that no one should post. My point was why waste time trying to decide if the monger or provider is telling the truth. This forum is great and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I'm just not one to waste time on BS and I'm definitely not one to white knight someone. That is all.

It's been a few years since I did it, but as I recall, Tracfone gives you a way to register the phone using the phone itself.
