My point was that the health care system on a whole (not individual scenarios) is poor and has been for years. And that simply has part again PART to do with the 3 reasons I listed as to why clearly the United States has more COVID-19 cases and Deaths than any other country.

Co-pays and coverage qualifications aren't necessarily what I'm talking about. I'm simply saying that in general for the ENTIRE country the health care system sucks. And it definitely plays a factor in why the United States is in this situation. Sweden did put on more restrictions at the end of November, but restaurants and bars are still open, and they are considering a stricter lockdown.

The problem is, pretty much all northern hemisphere countries have seen a significant increase in cases--and strains in healthcare resources and ICU capacity in many places--since the beginning of autumn. COVID just transmits very easily, and even more easily inside with cooler air and lower humidity. Mask mandates and lockdowns of restaurants and bars are only marginally effective because most spread is occuring in homes and workplaces, but that's what governments are doing around the world because they don't know what else to do.

At least death rates are down because of more effective treatments, but COVID is deadly or very serious to a certain % of the population. I'm hopeful that vaccinations will happen more quickly than people think.

Social distancing, masks and Washing your hands. We also all know that you can't tell Americans shit. We don't listen. We are the fattest country in the World and we have the perfect storm of either people that don't have health care or don't use it in a preventative manner to stay healthy. They only use it for emergencies because it still costs them too much money. And the bottom line is when you add that all up we get exactly this. The most cases and deaths in the world. As a matter of fact even if one of these people living in a bubble on hear argued that half of the reported deaths were false, we STILL would have the most deaths of any country in the world. And it blows my mind that nobody is talking about why it is this way. Our political parties are too busy bickering back and fourth about who one the fucking election. I mean really? Or how about this joke of a stimulus check they are pushing now? 600 dollars? Are you kidding me? I mean I won't get one either way so it doesn't effect me but I mean damn, 600 dollars won't even pay one month of the median rent in any of the 50 states. Spent my early years all over the country. Charleston, San Diego (El Cajon) , Seattle (Pudget Sound). Then we moved back to Detroit in the early 80's. I lived on Patton on the west side. Ended up enlisting myself and spent time in Somalia and Sri Lanka.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a drink with someone at one of them sometime soon. Looks like it won't be until at least January 15th now. But that's a whole different subject that I really don't want to even think about right now.

I was unable to enter the military due to hearing loss and failing the test. Thus, I was PMRed.
