However, the notion that anyone is committing a crime because they take a sidearm with them while doing an illegal activity is not true. If you were arrested for for lets say a DWI and you were legally carrying a sidearm, you would not get charged with committing a crime with a gun. That way, even if I do get held up by the girl, her accomplices or just some random neighbor (none of which has ever happened to me), what might I have to give up? Maybe $80 (or zero if it happens on the way out of the room)? Is $80 really worth possibly shooting a person over (even a person who's a scumbag)? YMMV, but IDTS. Or, to put it like DatsCool, better to give up 80 than pay 1000's for a defense attorney.
