Was in the neighborhood yesterday early afternoon and decided to do the above with side trips on Grand, Cherokee, Meramec, Bates, and Chippewa. Not much out except for a nasty old BSW on Meramec that wanted a ride, and two WSW around the Bellerive stairwell. One thing that was really disturbing to this old monger was a 20 something male pimping out his 20 something SO on Pennsylvania and Bowen. I think it is one thing for a pimp to have a stable of working girls but to pimp out your SO is pretty low to me. I wanted to say thanks to Zip for both giving great tips and speaking the truth. This is what the board should be. I started hobbying young. Way too young. In a place a little uglier than the SS stroll. I hate to say that I've been at it for about 20 years. There is a thrill, and I've found diamonds in the rough. But it's really about me being lazy, cheap, and undisciplined. Everyone is in a different situation. If you have time, maybe you don't have money. If you have money, maybe you don't have time. If you have both, maybe you should aim higher. Everyone knows this hobby is dangerous, and there is no magic bullet. I take precautions. I trust my gut. I walk away. Though, I've done this too many times, in many different places around the city, and there's only been a handful of times where shit went south. There's no medal for mongering. I fucked up, and I'd rather read more about fuck ups than scores. You only have to fuck up once, or run into to the right person on the wrong day. There's a difference, maybe a small difference, but a difference between a woman trying to get by and woman setting you up to get robbed, kidnapped, or killed. The SS stroll used to be different. Easier with more options, more activity. Now it's changed. That's all. A few years ago, a regular poster on the board said the days of relatively hassle-free release for a Jackson are coming to an end. It looks like this is true. South Broadway from roughly the market or what was a market at Broadway and 55 south to the city limits. Look at Google maps. You will see all of the landmarks Zip points out. On that, search for Zipandout in this forum. He has provided an encyclopedia of information including some maps if you go back far enough.
