Another reason to not give out PII
I am mostly on this view but I want to remind that's not entirely how that went down. From a federal level the bosses got taken down, but because the feds got involved I guess that incentivized local police to follow through. A city councilor of Cambridge got caught up in this alongside 30+ guys at last count.
Of the various articles that came out about this, I've chosen to focus on this one bit because in this case, it still shows level of risk appropriately.
"In December 2023, Cambridge police, working with federal law enforcement, sought charges in state court against 28 men. Authorities have said they chose these men out of the 2,800 contacts in the brothel's cell phone because they had exchanged the most text messages with it. ".
On one hand, over 2700 guys weren't even looked at, got off scott free and probably just went on doing what they do at the Boston agencies that replaced them. But for 28 (later 34), they got dragged because they were either the most famous or contacted the number the most. 33 have agreed to pretrial probation, but all of their names were revealed before this.
But even in a big city it was a surprisingly low bar to be considered frequent. "The 60-year-old (name), a former president of the Massachusetts Teachers Association who previously taught social studies to middle schoolers, paid for sex at least 13 times over roughly a seven-month period, between February and September of 2023, police wrote in their report. " "(another name) is accused of paying for sex at least 16 times between March and November 2023. ".
For my local agency, I'd be a bit at risk based on those examples. I don't entirely like how they ask for reviews, but at least they aren't doing what that organization did and delivering all the info and upgrade info through text. It may help if things go south.
I know I sound like a broken record in saying this, but for the love of all that is holy please don't give out your real name, photo, driver's license, employer info, or any other type of personal identifying information (PII) when contacting a provider or agency. I don't care what the providers or agencies say, it could well come back to bite you. It did for 34 mongers in this instance. Think with the big head, not the little one.
Watch the report, the place raided was a Chinese affiliated place. Yes be careful out there, yet I think the Chinese places are going to be targeted more by LEO than the other low key places in NOVA. My thoughts FWIW.
Maybe I'm wrong but I think Chinses palors affiliated have a few of key features like they run places like a fast house, communicate via text messages with clients and operate them like franchise stores serving the same or very similar menus.
Several C-places closed or.

I checked two or three out and the places were dark and the "open" sign was not on at Blenheim, Main, and Braddock. I wonder if they've moved on?
