Phoenix Relax Massage
Was on my way home when I noticed a new to me massage parlor in the plaza at the corner of Hill and Reynolds, Phoenix Relax Massage. All the windows / door were blocked off so it looks like our kind of place; if the rumors are true and Newport is closed maybe this is where they went?

Stay out of Toledo! I am surprised M1 lasted this long. With the new "funds" I would bet it is on someones radar.

Newport
I was at Newport in early January and the building was like brand new or else been remodeled. If they are already closed someone losing some big bucks on that deal.

I looked through all the local media publications and found no mention of Newport being closed by LEO. I guess it is possible but normally that type of activity is covered by the news media. Airport was in business at the same location for about 20 years without any openly serious problems. I was told that they closed that location due to the building condition and the long term lease ending. Apparently the owner purchased the dwelling at the new location. It was a "model" spec home of a local builder and sat empty since the real estate bubble burst. I remember them closing in past years for a week or so in early spring at the old location. Usually around Easter time. Maybe the staff wanted to be around family for the holiday. I expect they will re-open in a few days.

He said one of the woman who is "works here but isn't in charge" told him a few weeks ago she was spending Easter with grand children.

Well, sorry to report that it seems the party at Newport is over. Drove by yesterday and it is definitely closed. The name on the marque sign out by the fence has been taken down and there was a guy working around the front door. I didn't feel like asking any questions but he had a Pick up with tools so I imagine he was changing locks or something. Whatever happened, it happened fast as I had a 10 minute phone conversation with Penny two thurs. Ago and nothing seemed wrong at the time.
The strange thing is that the phone # is still working. Usually they go dead within a couple days. Could be many reasons for the demise. Perhaps the poster who claimed it was closed by LE could inform on where he got his info. I could not find anything in the news media the past week. Seems very strange as to what happened considering their long history in the area.

I had previously been told that they were expected to make regular "contributions" to local LE so that they would be left alone. Perhaps that arrangement changed? Too bad.

Male and female customers welcome. Had two professional massages. Both attendants mid to late 40's. Meaning late 20 or 30 looking to many on this post.
No touching or massaging near private areas. Good relaxing massage though.

They spent a lot of money and the place was nice, so someone didn't get paid enough to leave them alone. Too bad about that because they were out of the way and many of us would say they provided a needed service. I wonder if things are going to heat up in nearby counties now? Stay safe out there. Daz

Daz[/QUOTE]I am not going to speculate on what happened or why they are closed. It could be any number of things, legal or otherwise. All that is for sure is that they are closed and from all appearances, possibly for good. Time will tell. I have a casual friendship with a couple of the girls who have worked there the previous two years so perhaps I will know more in the future. They call me from time to time, usually when on vacation. As I said in previous post, I spoke with Penny for several minutes 2 weeks ago when they were still open and all sounded normal. Then again, they usually keep their plans and schedules to themselves so as to avoid any stalker issues. Don't laugh!
It is a problem for these girls sometimes. Several years ago I had a "close friend" that worked at a spa here in SE michigan. There was a guy who became obsessed with her, a real nightmare. She was very very cautious in her comings and goings to avoid any trouble. I was very impressed with how well she hid her identity and activity. Must have been from her earlier days of living under the sadistic "Khmer Rouge". Anyway, despite her precautions, this nut case was able to have her followed and he found her home on the west coast. Nothing bad came of it but you can imagine how that scared her! Soooo. Just take it for what it is, nobody is currently home at Newport, whatever the reason.

So sad! PennyatNewport
I saw Penny a month ago. She was sweet and sexy. It is sad to see the only bright spot in Toledo gone.
