Ask what their plans are for the day an what time they have open. If number flakes on you, you have your back up time when they are open. Chances are good one will be willing to see you. Canceling on a provider is not good unless it is for a real reason. We get pissed when they stand us up but we still have our money. When you flake on her she is out of money. Believe it or not that is why they are in the business. Even though some really enjoy who the are with an does everything you ask it still about the $$.

Reality is that, given the usual level of reliability, I almost never count on a new provider (previously unseen by me) actually following through until I'm walking in the door. Even that is dicey, since I had one recently who wouldn't even give the room number but got me into the hall so she could open the door to scope me out before letting me in. In fairness, I had been a little flakey and had to delay for about five minutes to get some more money, so she probably assumed I wasn't real. But I will admit at times a couple come through and I keep them both booked until one is fairly certain. I do, however, cancel before the meeting. I don't do no shows. But I would imagine equal levels of reliability on the monger side also lead to overbooking. And I'm sure, because I've seen it, that some providers book multiple guys for the same slot and just take the first one who comes in the door. And so it goes.
