Even fast food makes up prices as they go. If you look at the fine print on any of those fast food commercials they always say "prices in New York may be higher". And somehow they get away with that. You don't really have to be rich to have a car in this garbage ass city. But you DO have to be an IDIOT. Parking costs close to monthly rent in certain parts of Jacksonville in this city (not even joking about that). Public transportation is a joke here, but combine all the buses, the heavy congestion in the street, and you'd look like an ass with a car here.

I'm going to wait until I leave again to think about getting a car. Or at least a license. LOL. As time goes by, it looks like I might be moving back to Jacksonville anyway. Lets just all hope for this virus to get solved more sooner than later.

Hopefully they fixed it by now. But I've never been in the income bracket to afford a car because I can never find a job that pays more thab $8 an hour in the south, so I'm always going to rely on public transportation.

Yeah, I meant because of the cost of parking! LOL. I would have guessed way more per month than the car payment! I have never lived in NY but have been there a lot, once for 2 weeks so I got a little hint of the daily grind as I was there helping out our NY office at the company I was at back then. Good times! Come on back l, man! Got to be better than $8 jobs here now! 😃.

I've never had luck with a real job until right NOW. And painfully enough, the damn job shut down because of the pandemic. I can't win! LOL.

If I can find something that pays more than $10 an hour, I could head back. But it's still going to take a while, because if my job ever opens back up I'm staying here for a little while longer to continue saving up. But more than likely, if I head back to Jacksonville, I'm going to be back where I was before on Lane.
