So, Saturday, I crossed the border into Juarez. While there I stopped into Mexican pharmacy to get some Viagra. Now, I don't actually "need" Viagra, however, I like the benefots of using it in addition to my natural libido. Anyway. Went into the pharmacy and asked for some Viagra, done this before, but because I speak absolutely NO spanish, I never knew how to ask if they had generic. So, this time the pharmacist asked me if I wanted generic or Pfizer branded. I decided to get the usual Phizer 4-pack, and this time I also purchased to 10 pill bottles of generic to see if they worked. The generics were available in 25 and 100mg pills. I purchased the 100mg. So, got to test the generic. It is shaped just like a Viagra pill, but PURPLE in color. I downed the pill on an empty stomach with a large powerade. WOW, full effects of the pill were within 15 minutes of swallowing it. Unlike regular Viagra which usually takes some stimulation to work, this stuff just needed my pants rubbing on my junk while walking to kick in. Maybe this pill isn't coated? Got down to business and the girl I was with asked if I took something, wood was no longer wood, it was petrified wood, hard as a rock and actually a little more swollen. I lasted longer than I ever have.

Downside: Holy side-effects Batman! That night I felt someone had poured cement in my nose and let it dry. Every movement of my head made it feel like it was going to explode. Heartburn was incredible. Regular Viagra usually has very little side-effects for me, simply a slight stuffy nose and a slight headache, no heartburn. This purple stuff felt like it was going to kill me.

So. I have never seen or heard of purple generic V. This was new to me, paid about 1. 50 a pill. Sure Manly online is slightly cheaper, especially after shipping costs, but I prefer buying this stuff locally. Usually I cross over the border and just buy the real Pfizer pills, but this purple stuff is now an option as well. Now I know, this purple stuff ain't no joke! I usually don't split since they are so cheap and available to me locally and without a prescription, just a walk over the bridge, but I think I will try splitting one of the purple bad boys and see what happens.

Anyone else ever try the purple generic V?

The bad thing is, you have no idea what is in them. A purple generic that claims to have 100 mg of sildenafil might actually have more or less sildenafil in it. And who knows what other ingredients. The stuffy nose and headache hangover are typical with 100 mg Viagra. Sounds like you might have gotten more than that but who knows?

My doctor wants me to stop taking generics from foreign country. Too risky he says. I'm still taking the risks.

I told my Dr. What happened with the Pfizer V's and asked him again to write me for Sildeafil 20's. Walgreens filled it and yesterday I picked up 30-20's Sildenafil's. My cost $9.03. I was smiling the whole way home. But when I got home and was reading the paperwork I noticed it said my Insurance saved me $527.86. Retail price was $538.89! That averages out to $17.89 a pill. Multiply 5 (20's) x $17.89 to equal 100 mg's, that comes out to $89.45. That's even more than Brand Pfizer 100's.

So my question is: Is generic Sildenafil the same product or different than Revatio? Cause that's what I thought I was requesting. But it must be different somehow because it's well talked about here that Revatio is very affordable at a buck or less a pill.

I'm glad my ins. Covered it but something seems wrong here. And why did they cover Sildenafil but not Pfizer V.

These Sildenafils are tiny white pills. Anyone know what Revatio's look like?

I just got a refill at CVS. $15.50 for 20 20 mg pills no insurance or coupon. That's less than $4 for a 100 mg Viagra pill. Not bad.

Revatio (name brand) is sildenafil citrate (the generic equivalent).

While viagra is blue and comes in 100 mg, revatio is white and comes in 20 mg.

So if you take 5 x20 mg revatio (sildenafil citrate), that is identical to a single 100 mg dose of viagra (sildenafil citrate). Some people don't need a full 100 mg dose so taking 40 or 60 mg might work for you. It also works much better when taken on an empty stomach.

Revatio was developed and labeled to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). When you take it for ED instead, that is considered off-label use. Your insurance probably covers treatment for PAH and not ED. All of this is ridiculous because the ingredients are exactly the same.

Pfizer will continue to make a killing on their miracle drug Viagra until the patent expires. Pfizer's patent protecting Viagra from generic competition expires in April 2020, but Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. Will be allowed to launch its generic version in the United States on Dec. 11,2017.

I just got 40 tablets at the Target pharmacy (CVS) for $27. Freaking amazing.

Try Costco in Mexico. They have a few stores in Mexico including Tijuana and Ciudad Juarez. Costco caters to locals and is also an international chain with an excellent reputation. I believe they carry Apodefil, a generic brand of sildenafil or viagra, at 200 pesos for a dozen 100 mg tablets.

A little over $2 a "treatment" beats the hell out of V prices, it's legal and safe. I can live with it not counting against my insurance deductible.

Imo, they're about the same although the Walgreens stuff seems to have milder side effects. So in the interest of going legit I called Walgreens last night to ask their (over the counter not using insurance but I have a script) price on 30 Revatio-20 mgs. She said it would be over $1700.00. I asked her to repeat the price. (Over) Seventeen hundred. WTF! Uh, no thanks. I'm going to call CVS.

Walgreens should change their name to All Greens.

It shows actual cost of the drugs without insurance applied. Pretty handy if you have to pay for drugs yourself. I used it to find the lowest prices.

I just checked Revatio 20 mg x 30 tabs and the price ranges from $34.65 at CVS, $73.80 WalMart, to $513.19 Rite-Aid.
