I am so clearly the hardest guy to nut in the county that I have offered a meal as a part of the deal. But only after I have met several times and know their special ability and I'm trying to convince them to bump some other monger off the running list. The caveats are this:
1. I never offer cash. Especially if I hear the "why don't you just give me the value of the meal instead. ".
2. Thinking of Bunny / Karrey who loves to make that request, I just ask where they want me to drop them off? After all, they can buy what they want. I just paid them.
3. Home turf is nice, but travel is a ***** and it's easier to just get a room to share with several guests over the night. Hell, invest in yourself and go for broke.
