After perusing this board, I think I'm actually going to pay for a membership over at 'seeking". Having said that, I will not be paying to meet someone for a drink, other than the cost of the drink. If she's nice, and I'm genuinely enjoying the company, I'll pay for more. I do not suffer fools gladly, and that site seems to be chock full of women that have inflated egos, have gotten by on looks, and have about fifteen bucks in their bank account. As soon as I weed through the messages from out of the country, and other far away states (aka bots) I'll definitely report back. It may be a boring report, because I am not that good looking enough to warrant the company of some 22 year old hottie that looks like she belongs on a beach in Miami. -- that is a metaphor BTW, and not to be taken literally. I'm a man of a certain age, and know my limitations when it comes to women. Therefore I do not have unrealistic expectations. A couple things to try before your next venture.
First off, ALWAYS get a verification pic before you meet anyone. Ask them to send a simple selfie standing in front of a mirror holding up something, like a piece of paper with your name on it. This will let you know what they look like realtime, as well as make sure they are legit. Pretty much every girl that was serious about meeting would send me a pic within an hour. If they balk at the idea, or just ghost you, you just saved yourself some headache.
Second, politely set the rules before you meet, if you have to do a meet and greet. Tell them you will happily meet and buy them a lunch or coffee, but you don't give out allowance for M&G. This too will also weed out the flakes.
Ultimately, its like buying a car. You have to be willing to walk away if the deal doesn't feel right. Play by those rules, and you will have success. Happy hunting!

Tried to set something up with this one, but she is only available midday hours during the week which doesn't mesh with my work schedule since it would be like a 2 hour drive. I use fake pics even if I'm going to meet. I've had my profile pic posted to a blackmail site so I'm not risking it again. So far no one has been upset when I've shown up and I always explain why. I'm sure they are annoyed though.

These ladies aren't the brightest bulbs in the drawer, and they're all just hustling. 99% anyway. If you're using a fake photo, and no one complains, who cares?
