They are in line with the advice we got when starting out and with what others are reported on her to pay (see the price Notnine mentioned for the new girl for instance)

I've only ever had one or maybe two tell me specifically it was too much (and so declined to meet) but I've been stood up a couple of times, and had a few beg off for what they said were other reasons so who really knows?

Things would be much simpler if everyone was upfront about why their interest changed, but I can't assume everyone has been.

I will say though, that when you get accustomed to a certain price level working, it really doesn't feel good to have to cut your rates. It has a sort of feel of desperation.
