Until one of those two things happen, I always assume the profile is a bot or scammer, especially with brand new profiles like this one. If you've just been messaging her back and forth, insist on a video chat. Otherwise you're just wasting your time.
IMO this is bad advice. Video chat isn't the only way to determine if someone is real. I've met many without a single phone call or video chat.

This is a line to be drawn; put it in the same drawer as paying deposit of any sort although the two situations are different. M and G fees are a sad commentary on the particular girl and the times. I am 65. My take on this is that it is a predatory interpretaion of "my time is valuable so I won't invest anything to build a relationship for which I am being paid exorbitantly. I am not generous and will not meet you half or a quarter of the way". A read flag and predictor of an untenable situation. Now we have to clarify before the date. Say no.

While yes, there are some prizes on SA, I've found that the site has gone way, way downhill over the last couple years. And I've been doing SA since about 2015, so I've seen it all. It truly is a numbers game. You've got to put a LOT of time in if you want to find one of the gems. For me, it became too much work, so I just browse the site occasionally to see if there's a surge of new members that might be enough to get me to pony up again. So far the answer has been no.
