There is also a lot more likely to be a fair amount of drama and hassle along the way, and they are also very likely to have wildly unrealistic expectations about you.

Her parents would likely have a problem with it, but she's legally an adult. Don't meet her on school property, though.

Guys get caught up all the time with UA girls all the time that say they are 18 but are actually 15 or 16. Do not believe them until you see there I'd and can verify they are 18. The fact that they are still in HS is suspicious to me. I would tread lightly. I will repeat. Do not just take there word for it that they are 18. These girls will lie to you and get you caught up in some shit. Happens all the time.

NEVER trust an ID. If you think there is even the slightest possibility that she's UA run away immediately, you must listen to the big head in this instance. Fake IDs are very easy to get and unless you are expert at spotting them you can't guarantee that what you're looking at is legit.
Statutory rape is what is called a strict liability crime, that means that there is no 'intent' portion to the determination of guilt. So even if she shows you ID that says she's over 18 but is in reality under, your belief that she was over is immaterial in the courtroom. You can and will be convicted of being a pedo if she's UA even if she showed you 13 forms of ID, you met her at a bar where she was ordering alcohol after being carded, and had her mom tell you that she's +18.
This is a life-ending mistake, no piece of ass is worth the risk.
