On a normal day I would never attempt that walk, much less during Oaks and Derby when the streets will be filled.

Most of the area between Churchill and Preston is either low income or industrial. You'll be crossing over the interstate multiple times on foot.

As well, it is well known in Louisville that you don't monger during Derby unless you know the provider. You don't even know the location.

This is a terrible idea.

I worked a few Derbys at Churchill and had to walk home (not a great experience when you're feet have blisters. I lived close to Iroquois High School so you know how long that walk was).
