First, the short answer: target BA and you need not worry about anything else.
Longer answer: BA is best by far. I mean, FC is (was?) second best, and it was somewhat a remote second. FC appears to be closed at the moment. Smile spa (aka "basement" has nothing to do with FC other than being next door; FC did not become Smile, Smile has always been there, years and decades before there was any FC. They do not have the same consistency by any means. The basement is on par with the rest of places in Philly; if you plan to go there, you can as well go anywhere else. Is it bad? Nope. Is it good? Just travel up I-95 a bit to I-676 WEST (Vine Street Expressway) as you are making the curve exit off 95 stay in the right lane and take the exit. I think it says Callowhill St. Drop down a few blocks ( 8) on Callowhill untill you hit 11th, turn freaking right and go two blocks to Ridge. I usually look for parking on Spring Garden as it has more traffic. Walk back a couple of blocks to Bella.

I fly in, hit FC and then over to NJ where our office is about 1. 5 hrs away. I was hesitant to drive around Philly to much in a rental not knowing anything about the areas.

I'll be visiting Philly at the end of the month (I'm from near Louisville). Just wanted to say thanks for all the great info here guys. Sounds like Bella's is the place to go. I'll be busy at nights, but free during the day. Still a good place to go early afternoon? I'll be downtown so sounds easy enough to get to. Haven't been to Philly since I was in HS. Looking forward to it.

Ok, as I stated in an earlier post a week ago, I finally confirmed with our company travel agent and she does indeed have me flying into Philly by 6:30 a. Way too soon to have a chance to visit Bella's since they open at 10 a. I was looking at several 24 hr locations and was wondering which of the locations others here have chosen at some point. What would be the order of preference for those of you who live in the city?
The choices I'm considering are:
1-Smile Spa which is close to my old FC grounds whenever I was in town.
2-Happiness Oriental.
3-1819 Spa.
4-Hollywood Spa.
With the way my luck is with flights, there is a very good chance I may be able to visit Bella. But if it is actually on time for once, what would be the ranking order of the 4 above? If someone knows a better 24 hr location, I'm all for it!

Only BA and FC used to offer consistent results; FC is gone to all appearances, so your best bet is BA. Try to get there, since you're only here a short time and are interested in guaranteed good results. If you can't, the rest are all about the same, meaning hit and miss.
