Well, not me. I don't know if she gets back here much (she did have a house S of Indy) and whether she works her when she does, but back before she left to become a star I paid the usual for FS. Might have been 250 or even 200 when she was running a special.

John covered it, was gold in the day but got standard rates. Not like one I contacted in the last week or so who was here one week with no reviews or apparent experience but was still at the local high end then came back a week or so later and her rates had gone up a minimum of 67% increase( could actually have been double from one ad I think,) but she said it was only a 15% increase , from $$$ to $$$$$ and it was due to the fact that she now had 3 reviews. Saw an episode of COPS a couple days ago where a sting was being run where the Oxford Inn used to be and marked squad cars were used to pull over the johns. As one guy was being arrested he mentioned it was his 2nd time being caught this way and the female decoy told him if that is true that a 2nd offense causes forefiture of his vehicle. That was news to me. Had never heard that before.

I got back into town late on Thursday night. I visited my regular before heading home. I decided to take Washington st. accross town . I counted 6 BSW between Arlington and Sherman. Also 3 marked patrol cars and 1 paddy wagon scattered in parking lots and alongside buildings in the same area. It was 1:30 am not much traffic so I'm not sure if anything was up. I drive that way alot and it just looked odd to me.

Well, there's nothing in IC 35 about that, but it could be a city ordinance. I've seen a lot of local governments confiscating cars for "crimes" committed in the vehicle (soliciting prostitution, purchasing drugs, robbery, and especially DUI), following in the footsteps of the RICO and other federal seizure laws.

Theft, including shoplifting, is a felony in Indiana. She may have eventually been charged or convicted of a misdemeanor, but the arrestable offense was a felony.

I took a ride in the convertible this weekend. I had a couple of experiences that I wanted to share with the locals in Indianapolis.
First stop was at CT’s Theater near the Gary Airport. For those that aren’t aware this place is a small bookstore with a theater that on occasion will have girl for gang bang purposes and a stage behind blue tarps with a chair and a mirror. I had no intention of partaking when I stopped in, I just wanted to see the place again to see if anything had changed and see the talent. I also have heard that one before if you use the vehicle in an effort to commit prostitution or in an effort to buy drugs it might get seized.
They need less evidence to seize your vehicle and sell it than they do to arrest you! You have to prove what they say is not true .

Absolutely! You do not have to be convicted or EVEN CHARGED with a crime to have your assets seized. These are two completely separate issues under the law.

"RICO State by State" says on page 384:

"Indiana has two interrelated racketeering statutes. The criminal statute is the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (Indiana RICO). The civil statute is the Civil Remedies for Racketeering Act (CRRA). Both statutes were enacted in 1980."

It goes on to state that there are no stated legislative findings, no statement of purpose, no rules of construction, and possibly no statute of limitations. So, basically, RICO and CRRA can be used anywhere, anytime, and it's up to the accused to fight it. Guilty until proven innocent.

Never used the stuff, but I confess to being curious as hell.

My physician is a friend of the family and while doc patient priv is sacrosanct and all that, I would prefer not to tempt fate in that particular way. I dunno, awkward and all that.

it would be my opinion you would be better off anywhere but your own house. Not because you have more rights elsewhere or have less chance of being arrested but because of what LE can or cannot do if it happens at your house. It is my understanding that once you agree to a sex act for money the crime has been committed, you don't have to actually "do it" to be charged. If that is true the where it happens comes into play. If you're in your car, maybe you lose your car. If you're in your home who knows what LE then has the right to do. I'd guess a search is quite possibly legal at that point. Can they sieze your house? I don't know. If you're in a motel room there may be some law/code that enacts a second charge in addition to soliciting. You may lose anything you have in that room. Like if you used your cell phone or laptop to initiate the crime. Based on what's been reported here about RICCO etc you may lose your car since you used it to get to the place where you committed a crime.

Problem is, I, and probably no one else here, am not a lawyer and not versed in all the pertinent laws/codes/statutes governing this horrendous crime so I cannot, and am not giving legal advice. But based on what I think I know and what others have said here, it is my opinion that to minimize personal property loss you should use a burner cell to make appointments, take the bus, or cab to a motel and have no other personal property with you. You might still get arrested somehow but if you're not in, and haven't used your car or house I would think that they could not be in jeparody. That said, for legal facts I would suggest consulting a lawyer or all the pertinent laws/codes/statutes.

As I am not an attorney, I do understand that your residence is the "last stand" for privacy that we have in America. No officer may enter your house unless you give them some sort of probable cause or you un-wittenly invite them in. They all need a warrant to search and they need that signed from a judge BEFORE they can legally enter a private dwelling. Take a case for drug dealing inside a person's home. They can legally case the joint, and observe who goes in and out. But the moment they get a signed warrant. BAM! Here comes the Battering Ram.

I think that you have less leverage out on the street because we all abide by the local, county, state and national laws as a "right" to live in the US.

I found a readable copy of the RICO State by State book on the internet so I perused the chapter on Indiana. Keep two things in mind. First, the book is copyrighted in 1998 so it does not contain any changes to the Indiana RICO statute since then. Second, the following is only my interpretation of what I read and not meant to be construed as legal fact or advice. Remember also there may be other state/local laws/codes/ordinances that allow for seizure of property that have nothing to do with RICO. All these variables and possibilities is exactly why you hire a lawyer if arrested.

The chapter on Indiana lists 29 offenses to which the RICO statute can be applied. The only one listed concerning prostitution is IC 35-45-4-4 promoting prostitution. So, to me, that means, as of 1998, if you are charged with/convicted of soliciting or patronizing a prostitute (those are different codes than promoting), RICO cannot be applied.

Concerning forfeiture of property under the RICO statute, the book says there has to be a second offense of the same charge/conviction and it has to happen within 5 years of the first. There is lengthy discussion as to how and when the forfeiture can take place. Depending on a variety of circumstances, it can happen immediately or may require a court order. There is also a section describing how/when property, or the value of if the property has already been disposed of, is returned if it was unlawfully seized.

I agree strongly with Chelli on two major points:

1) Keeping in mind you are granted equal protection from police entry and search whether you are in your own home or a hotel room, consideration of seizure laws would lead one to believe that you might be better off away from your own home.

2) I am not a lawyer (though I do have a layman's experience with the law), and as far as I know, none of us are. Consult an attorney before making decisions based on info you find here or anywhere.

Libraries are a great source of updated law books. The State Law Library downtown has a huge selection. The Plainfield Library is one of my favorites, it has a great law section for a small library.

From my 40 years of dealing with Leo. I have noticed they can and do any dam thing they want. And your guilty until proven innocent. As far as them entering your house. All they need is probable cause to believe a crime is in progress. And my guess is if you was unlucky enough to pick up or have a wired undercover police women in your house. With them listening to the deal go down. That would be probable cause for them to kick your door down. And search and take anything they want.

One thing they would take is our computers. And there isn't anybody on the internet that doesn't have porn on there computer. I'm sure you all know how when your on the web. You get pop ups of porn. Or click on one site and get directed to another. I have a brother that is a pastor. I asked him one day if his church computer gets porn junk mail like everybody else. And he said yes it does. Even in his I love [email]jesusatsoso.com[/email] email address he gets porn junk mail. He said he got a junk mail that said something about Japanese school girls. So even though he don't go in for that shit. And didn't ask for it. He would still have child porn on his hard drive. As everybody else on the web would. When you delete a junk mail. Or close a pop up. Its still on your hard drive. So any computer thats been online has porn and child porn on it.

The use of any motor vehicle on the streets or alleys of the city to solicit, facilitate or consummate an act of prostitution as defined by the laws of the State of Indiana, in such a way as to constitute an injury and offense to the health and senses of the citizenry, shall be a public nuisance. A public nuisance as described by this subsection may be abated in accord with the provisions of section 391-207.

Sec. 391-207. - Abatement of vehicles constituting a public nuisance.

(a)
When a motor vehicle is impounded and removed to a place of safekeeping pursuant to an arrest for an offense described in section 391-102(c), the office of the corporation counsel or its designee may file with a court of competent jurisdiction an action to abate the nuisance by requesting the vehicle's sale at public auction. The corporation counsel or its designee shall not bring such an action unless it be shown that the person creating the nuisance has a prior conviction for an offense as described in section 391-102(c). If the corporation counsel or its designee elects to bring an action under this section, such an action must be filed within two (2) days of the vehicle's impoundment excepting weekends and legal holidays. The court shall not grant this remedy unless it be proved that the owner of record with the bureau of motor vehicles knew or had reason to know that the vehicle was being used in such a way as to constitute a nuisance as described in section 391-102(c). The complaint shall be filed in the name of the city and shall be served on each person whose right, title or interest is of record with the bureau of motor vehicles.

(b)
The office of the corporation counsel or its designee shall receive two hundred dollars ($200.00) and any law enforcement agency assisting in such an action shall receive three hundred thirty dollars ($330.00) as reimbursement for their expenses in bringing an action under section 391-102. Such expenses and fees shall be satisfied from the sale of the vehicle after the costs of the sale and any valid liens or encumbrances are satisfied as the court may determine. These funds shall be considered miscellaneous revenue to the corporation counsel or its designee or any other law enforcement agency. The remaining balance after the sale of the vehicle shall be disbursed to the owner or owners of record prior to the sale.

(c)
If the court finds in favor of the city and orders a vehicle sold at public auction, and a person holding a valid lien or security interest of record shall appear, the court shall determine whether the secured interest is equal to or in excess of the appraised value of the vehicle. Appraised value is to be determined as of the date of judgment on a wholesale basis by agreement between the secured party and the city or by the inheritance tax appraiser for Marion County.

If the amount due the secured party is equal to or greater than the appraised value of the vehicle, the court shall order the vehicle released to the secured party. If the amount due the secured party is less than the appraised value, the secured party may pay into court an amount equal to the owner's equity. The owner's equity is the difference between the appraised value and the security interest. Upon payment into court of the owner's equity, the court shall order the vehicle released to the secured party and distribute the amount paid into court as provided in subsection (b). If the secured party declines to pay the owner's equity into court, the vehicle shall be sold at auction and the proceeds distributed as provided by subsection (b).
