Roxanne's deposit; an ominous harbinger
If you remember, I was ghosted by Roxanne last Tuesday and backup Jen was dealing with sister drama. On Thursday I get a text from Roxanne apologizing for ghosting me and wanted me to reschedule. She said she was sick that day, apparently so sick that she was unable to text me and simply tell me that. So, being the pushover that I am, I agree to reschedule for Saturday at 1 pm. This time her comms were spot on with almost immediate responses. She shares a small home in a nice neighborhood off of Post Road with Jessie and another girl and I think there's a few relatives there too. Roxanne has her own room as does Jessie. It's small but comfortable. There's a queen mattress on a box spring foundation but no bed frame. If you don't have to stand, it's fine otherwise it's too low unless you're five feet or less. It needs to be about 4 or 5 inches higher. She started of with some BBBJ which was very good. She can also DT like a pro and is another viable candidate for that DT list that DC posted earlier. With JR clearly in the game now, we changed to K9 position with her kneeling on the edge of the bed and me standing. She's nice and tight. She says it's because both of her kids were by C-Section. Then we tried K9 with both of us standing. That worked for a while until our legs started cramping so we decided the first position was better and went back to that. After we finished she brought me a wet washcloth and a towel for cleanup. It was an enjoyable visit and I'll be most likely repeating. Her rates are 120 HH and 180 FH. We did 45 min for 150.
Ironic that she ghosted you since her ad contains that all-caps diatribe about ghosting and not having the courtesy to at least call can cancel. She is now demanding a deposit to discourage no-shows. I assume she didn't make you pay that after ghosting you, or perhaps you'd already paid it when scheduling the first time?
I think her ghosting does damage her credibility an the impetus for charging a deposit, but it doesn't invalidate the logic behind it. If wannabe mongers don't stop this fake scheduling shit, deposits will become the norm, and scammers will take us all. When that happens, we won't even be protected by seeing the well-reviewed, since all providers, even the well-reviewed, succumb to ghosting from time-to-time.
