Mary Ann Summers is in desperate need of someone to work on her car. Hit and run, I'll let her explain what needs done. Just text her at www.maryannsummers.com.
I am just posting this for her since she for some reason can't post. If you can work with her, I am sure she will work with you.
Thanks and the more you know
I used the Urology Group many years ago and it was a bad experience. Got a large hematoma in my nutsack, it took months to go away, lost a weeks work. Then when I called about getting my sperm count checked a couple months later they said to bring in a sample, it was really awkward when I did and just as awkward giving a sample on site. A nut cutting mill focused on profit. I would suggest a small practice with good reviews.
Thanks to all that replied by PMs and your reply here. Was interesting hearing about the follow up to confirm it successful. Searched and posting these from a random dr site, there's probably some variation in these instructions depending on where you go to get it done.
After your vasectomy, you will need to make sure there are no sperm in your semen. You will have to give your doctor a semen sample. The doctor or the lab will count the number of sperm.
Wait for about 3 months after the vasectomy to give your doctor the sample. Your doctor may tell you how many times to ejaculate before sending in the semen sample.
Take the semen sample to the lab or clinic within 1 hour after you collect it.
Collect the semen sample in the container your doctor gives you.
Wash and dry your hands and penis.
Ejaculate into the container. Do not use any lubricant or saliva. Do not use a regular condom to collect the semen. The powder in it can kill sperm. Collect the entire amount of semen you produce.
Keep the semen close to body temperature. A good way to do this is by keeping the semen container in an inside pocket. Avoid getting the semen hot or cold.
If you don't want to masturbate, your doctor may give you a special condom to wear during sex to collect the semen.
Not sure if this is still required
Meant to post this just in the Cincinnati forum but accidently used Dayton's general section.
Looking to make sure I'm not wasting my later middle years raising unwanted kids with the ladies I don't pay by the hour. For those that have done it already do you have any reputable local, regional doctors that you recommend?
I got mine over 35 years ago. Back then they required my wife to give consent.
