Well last night after a long drive back to CT I decided to check out the loop in Waterbury. Made a few trips around and there appeared to be a good amount of action out there. Back when I was active on the street scene, I carried a "monger wallet" with only a few dollars and a useless plastic card (like those that you receive from junk mail that has a 1-800 number, or a fake credit card number) while I have my real drivers license and some cash hidden elsewhere in the car. That way, if someone did grab my wallet and ran, they would end up with a small amount of money and a piece of plastic that's not a real I'd or credit card. Luckily I never had anyone grab my monger wallet, but I did experience an incident similar to yours.

I just practice common sense safety. Before I go out, I stop at my office, take everything out of my pockets except the money I am willing to spend and my driver's license. I leave my wallet and the rest of the things in my desk drawer. Sometimes I might have a little extra money around but it's tucked away where no one is going to find it readily. For me, the gun safe idea is a bit of overkill (pun intended).

The first thing I thought of, in addition to your personal safety, is she will likely damage your car. The ways cars are built now, interior handles are so flimsy she would likely break it off by tugging on it without a lot of effort. Then you're stuck with her! She would also kick your dash. I would also never bring them to my office and leave a record in her mind of where I work.
