This is the very first time to know about this. This shows guys supporting complete closure of info that what you know is already known. However, I am against forcing people to disclose all detailed explicit info.

That electronic trails thing creeps me out.

But what pisses me off are quotes like this:

I seriously doubt any of the fine ladies I have met fall into that catagory. It's like they go to extremes to get an emotional response. What will they say next? "Save a missing child on a milk carton! Stop screwing women from Craig's List!"

On another board they are talking about a meet and greet. Has anyone heard what the date is for this meet an greet?

Don't do this! While it would be great to meet fellow mongers, this is an oppertunity for LE to do some counter intelligence.

Don't forget Operation Flea Collar, this was one of the issues and one of the ways that information was gathered.

Also, LE may contend this this is a conspiracy to commit a crime and an ambitious prosecutor may have this result in a RICO charge.

Your choice, but I would run fast and far.

I have been to some M&G and never had a problem.

I posted some thoughts in the Real Deal thread on how we can make that particular thread more streamlined and less cluttered. It's at the bottom of my post about Amber, not in a seperate post.

I would be interested to read your feedback. Please reply in this thread, not that one!

I have had the opportunity to attend a handful of hobby mixers. They varied in size and style, from the intimate VIP happy hour held at one of the top gentleman's clubs in Dallas to a large gathering held at a swinger's club in San Antonio. I also once attended a mixer of sorts in Phoenix. The boards that initiated these meet and greets are all different; one thing is the same. I never felt the presence of LE at any of these functions.

Now, I have been away from the scene for a couple of years, and I realize that times have changed. Further, I have not heard of any meet and greet in the area; this is just my experience.

I can think of no better way to gather information on everyone other than at one of these events. The benefit is what? The risk is what?

Is there any chance that we can make this just one topic where, if you don't know what you're talking about, you just don't talk?

A well handled M&G is a ZERO risk fun event where you can meet people you otherwise would not. It is a social event that even brings people in from other states to attend, because they frequent the discussion boards. Many stay over and make a weekend out of it.

There is screening, secrecy, and the location of the event is not even announced until the day of.

There is one scheduled in the not too distant future and it is being organized by another site. If you don't frequent the boards, don't have references, and are not approved by the host committee. You aren't going to get in. You aren't going to hear about it outside the community. And if you do, the information is just false heresay because no one involved is going to speak.

Any talk of 'gathering information' or 'LE involvement' or anything else along those lines is pure nonsense made up by people who watch way too much tv and think they're lawyers. Any more discussion about why it's completely ridiculous is just a waste of time in this space.

Don't like the idea? Don't go.

Not part of the community? You won't be able to go.

Not interested in high end professional providers? Don't go.

I'll let you all know how it was. When it's over. LOL.

We have some great women reading this board now. Maybe some of them can offer some advice on the YMMV issue. What should a guy do to improve his chances of a girlfriend experience with you?

I do know what I am talking about and so does the full-time nurse, part-time escort I helped after she was busted as a result of attending one of these mixers.

Most people are smarter than the police, however, they are not smarter than outside experts they bring in to help and advise them.

I know a lot lot more than I ever write about here. People who encourage others to engage in high-risk activites worry me for a reason. I am not paranoid, just educated.

Addendum: What crime is pursued with more vigor in disproportion to its severity than prostitution? AMPs are busted for employing unlicensed therapists yet it is the lead story on the news. Think people. It is not what you are doing, but what press that LE and politicians can make taking you down that matters.

also educated beyond the vast majority of the general public. And well experienced in a field directly related to the issues relating to the problems that can be caused by participating in a M&G.

I have been to a few in the past, when substantially less attention was given to websites like this by those who do not agree with our views of the hobby.

I do not believe I would attend one now or for the forseeable future. I recommend others do not. In the current political climate the risk/reward ratio is way too low. When something goes bad, I will not laugh at you, I'll just shake my head and think-- I tried to warn them.

Agreed, I think thats a great suggestion for providers in all areas of service. I suppose there is also the risk the providers though could also offer JohnnyLaw an avenue that would make it easier too get them.

1. Stay Fresh. Your breath and body should be fresh. We as providers understand that you may have been at work, keep some cottonelle wipes handy, or simply ask the provider if you will be able to use her shower upon arrival. Who knows, she may even join you.

2. Ask the provider if she is GFE, if she says she is, then she's not, she is misleading in advertisement and the review boards should reflect that as well.

3. Don't be nervous, and don't be afraid to lead the appointment a little.

I have to agree with Nemo and Exec. Mixers are too risky. I remember seeing on TV a few years back, a mixer party where all the hobbyists wound up getting busted.

Even if it wasn't risky, I wouldn't want to meet other hobbyists. I only want to meet certain escorts I select based on my own criteria. And most importantly, I am not interested in any other hobbyists seeing me. Being able to communicate on this board through posts and PM's is plenty good enough.
