It's more likely I touched a nerve talking about screening considering he's had nothing positive to say since I've mentioned it. Perhaps he was burned by a provider who used his personal information in the wrong way. I guess those who can't do, teach.

It makes sense to me that some people are interested in Inara based on her posts here. Most ads don't give you very much perspective on what a lady is like or what her personality is like; there are exceptions but most ads just give the basics and (maybe) some photos. There are lots of ads with attractive women in them. Finding an attractive woman who also has a nice personality and good skills is not so easy, which is one reason boards like this exist. I wish it were easier to tell what the woman behind the ad is really like, but without some reviews here or elsewhere that is very difficult. Some ladies post on anoThER board and their postings are very helpful in getting a feel for what they are like. I wish a lot more ladies posted, but don't expect it is likely to happen.

It always comes down to it's a business. I'm the customer, and I do business with people who do business in ways I'm comfortable with, and saying who I really am would be fucking crazy to me.

Doesn't mean you should stop or doing it is bad, I get it when chicks want to know for reals who they do business with, I just would never do it.

I also won't give a landlord two months deposit. There's lots of stuff lots of different providers of goods or services want me to do that I won't do.

I screen because I don't want to be arrested, assualted, robbed or any other number of unpleasant things that can happen. Screening cuts down the chances of these things happening by quite a bit. If you don't want to see someone that screens than fine, but to constantly attack me because I do screen is rather immature especially considering you don't even fricking take part in this world.

If you were burned by someone who screened, I'm sorry that happened to you. We aren't all the same and I wouldn't risk my reputation by doing something like using someone's screening info to blackmail them. I don't agree with the use of public blacklists either for anything other than the most dangerous offenses.

I am curious what you guys think about this. I had a date set up somewhat far away, not in Raleigh. I send her the typical text letting her know I am close. Her next text to me says, "What is it you are trying to do, Baby?" I froze. This is nearly the exact question the under cover lady asks the unsuspecting john on those cop sting videos, right before she runs off to the bathroom and a bunch of fat LEOs burst into the room. She has not posted in a while and I felt like I was being set up. Maybe I am being paranoid. But I did not have to make the final decision, a while after I did not respond she texted back to cancel. I am striking out a lot lately, another free day ruined.

I think you did the right thing. If she was thinking you were the next john she may have just been asking how long you wanted to stay in an less than thought out way. If she knew that it was you, the one on the way, then that was just an odd question to ask. That she is helping in a sting is one answer. Best to be careful so it was good that you turned back.
