Your strategy depends on what your goals are. For me, the goal is to find one SB and make it last for awhile (1 or 2 years) and develop a friendship. While finding a suitable SB is an inefficient and frustrating process, I find it MUCH more difficult to END an SB relationship. Lots of things can go wrong here and it's hard to generalize. There is not much discussion about ending things on these forums. I suppose the most widespread practice is to stay anonymous and either drift apart or ghost. Six out of 10 of my last SBs from the last 10 years are still friends and we sometimes talk, and 4 of them have tried to return to me.

The profile is important, both yours and theirs. In your profile, spell out, as succinctly as possible, who you are (within your constraints of needing to be discrete) and what you want. Using humor helps. Your profile pics: A lot of guys are uncomfortable using real pics, so they find a pic of someone similar or they obscure their pic. In my latest attempts I've used no pic but just describe myself. I do think, however, that before meeting the woman in person you should send, via text, some recent pics of yourself. Sometimes I lose them at this stage, LOL. But I think it's only fair. Making a "meet and greet" as soon as possible is important. The communication in person is much more efficient. You should never lie and you should give information including pics as soon as you feel comfortable doing so. Instead of sending a girl a picture through text, I use the attach pic function on SA, in the messaging section. I can get away with that when I 'splain I'm an OG and not too tech savvy. However, I don't do it anymore, as it may have been responsible for me getting a profile banned for 'picture not of the person'. For me, if I have spent a significant amount of time seeing a girl, more than a month or two, then I don't consider the idea of ghosting as viable. Like everything else in the bowl though, I think this depends on each individual's situation. In this respect, I think the process is very similar to a regular dating site: check the boxes first as a foundation, then talk and see if there's more to each other that we can work with.

I admit that I'm lazy and do some form of the "hey, what's up?" message 90% of the time. Of those, I get a response back to at least half, which is more than enough for me in the month or two that I'm usually active on the site. I will do a little bit more detail in the message for the ones I'm most attracted to, and for those that are slightly below my top targets but say in their profile that they want substance. I've had several SBs who either used profile pics or texted me ones that I ultimately found on social media, but google couldn't find them. So, I was just wondering, what sites do you guys use to check pics?

For instance, a SB sends you her pic, what sites do you use for a reverse search of the pic, to see if the pic is real, or is being used other places, etc, or maybe get a lead on their fb / insta / whatever page? I'd even pay for the service, if it was good, so it doesn't necessarily have to be a free service. Just whatever site / service anyone uses for that stuff.

It's 2022 even the cheapest cell phones have good cameras, if a girl is being dodgy about photos or has photos that look like they were taken with a potato I just stop engaging. Funny crops or photos with borders or black / white edges and / or low resolution are a good clue the photos are just stolen screen shots of photos. It's easy to rule 95% out without any research.

However, I can't find OneVanilla card anywhere near me at all. Checked multiple CVS / Walmart etc.

What I found is a card that looks very much like OneVanilla but it is called SecureSpend.
