She and I have had our problems in the past but found some common ground and have become very good friends over the past couple years. I'm the one that's dropped her at rehab the last two times. Yes, she failed again this time but I just pray she lives to give it another try.

Despite your claim, I'm no different than you. I've done the same.
I've had similar experiences with my sons mom, family and my job consists of only addicts.
The simple truth is. Nobody can offer enough encouragement, help or well wishes to an addict.
When / if they can choose to change their behavior is when they will get better. In most cases that's pretty rare for ANY form of addiction.
We like to think we are so intelligent but we are barely smart monkeys.
As I said in a previous post. This can be an addiction too for some. The bottom line is Both sides take advantage of people in this hobby.
From my experience. Even if you were magically able to convince her to get better. I can almost promise you will get Zero credit for any help you gave. They usually will take all the credit for themselves for changing their behavior "on their own".
It wouldn't shock me if she has used the false pretense of going to rehab just to get money from ya.
Anyway, can you confirm she failed again?

She answered and we talked for a couple of minutes. She said she wanted to go and detox because she couldn't do it on her own. And then signed out of rehab. She's back and available again. I too hope that one of these times she completes rehab and gets clean and out of this lifestyle. I'd steer clear of her because the monkey on her back is controlling her decisions right now.

Fuck, you're barely past the dope sickness letdown and they send ya out the door. Gone are the days of spending months in rehab, getting your shit back together and possibly somewhat in order. It takes a lot of work and support and almost none of these girls have it. But true what others have said, nothing happens until they want it to happen.
