Its been bit more than a week since I posted and again yesterday I was contemplating on going to an AMP.

Sometimes in that type of situation, anxiety increases as the hobbyist keeps trying to finish. It may even be subconscious. So it can be helpful to completely stop, just relax for a few minutes, and then start again. Sort of like shutting down and restarting a computer to eliminate a problem. :)

Yes, a hobbyist should be fair if he wants a provider to be fair. Unhappy surprises like that can result in more providers with bad attitudes who demand full payment in advance.

Let's see what it looks like if we turn the situation around: a hobbyist pays a provider with two $100 bills and wants $50 change. Instead, the provider just keeps the change and says that maybe the hobbyist can have it "next time." There would be howls of outrage on the forum.

Yeeaah - this is why some providers want the money up-front. This is commonly interpreted as a ROB move, but in my experience Usually the girl is just looking out for herself. For them, any guy who comes marching in there could turn out to be a dud.
