There are places that are part of city of San Diego that have the county sheriffs department as the contract law enforcement (like Rancho Bernardo).

My apologies for the misinformation, I used to work in 4's Ranch which I considered part of Rancho Bernardo. That was definitely patrolled by the sheriffs department, they were constantly writing tickets for traffic infractions at certain times of the year.

I thought I should post this while it's fresh in My head. I went to you Spa in lemon grove today around 6:30.
