Wow, I'm a little late here but stunned to hear the news of her passing. I met with her several times years ago. Very friendly, fun and of course those oral skills. RIP.

Interesting how we go from phone to internet back to phone. I had forgot all about Quest but yes it's probably worth another look given recent events. I assume it's still around. Maybe 900 numbers will make a comeback too.

Second, they were charged with operating without an escort license. I checked out the application process for an escort license for Milwaukee and Waukesha. Wow, what a process. Anyhow, in Waukesha the applicant must pay a $250 application fee and then go through a long process to be granted an escort license. I am going to swing by City Hall and see if I can get a list of all the escort licenses that have been issued.

You get a hefty fine ($2,000 in most jurisdictions). It does not preclude the additional charge of prostitution (criminal) if that can be proven. It is much easier to charge someone with escorting with out a license, since you don't have to prove prostitution or other crimes and the definition of escorting is pretty broad. Its a BS way to generate more revenue for the municipality while in theory trying to discourage escorting (which normally includes prostitution even though that is not sanctioned by the municipality).
