Too many ads and not enough screening
Many memories from this place in Allston, but they did themselves in. Any other place like them around?
You are right about quint. I loved the ads (very whimisical) but they were everywhere. And they asked you to park in the driveway which was in the middle of a neighborhood no less. I used to park on Harvard and just walk over. I doi remember a couple of times as I walked there I saw several people just stopping and staring. I'm assuming they were neighborhood folks. And I did enjoy the tea and sitting with the girls in the 'parlor' while waiting for a room to open up. And playing an occasional card game with the 'papa'. Can't remember his name. It was a great place that got too careless and greedy.
