I never thought I would be the one to say "read the forum" but just read what was written and I laid out exactly who was there with names. Sat with her for a minute and said NOPE. , not spending the money. She was simply too small and looked kind of crackish LOL, but sweet thought. Just not worth my investment. They wouldn't be cold calling people with a scam this specific.
Sadly, this is a solid check box in the side of why not to provide screening information. In the MP world that isn't an issue tho. And get a burner phone or at least a google voice number if you haven't already!

And usually they want you to pay by gift card, or BTC, or some other untraceable method.
It's all BS and can be ignored, although I agree that the main concern is how they got your number in the first place. And I second the recommendation that you get a burner phone and use that exclusively for your hobby activities.
