I agree, here is my experience
All they wanted from me was name, age, race. Never mentioned or asked for I'd. So I could have given anything.
I am going to see a very well reviewed and popular provider in Jacksonville this week, and she wanted first name, a reference from a well known provider who could vouch for my being on time and general character, and my screen name on boards so she could see I'm real by my posts. I texted my reference (thanks D!) to let her know to expect a text from A and that's she had my permission to share info, and that's it. D replied with an OK, and I will confirm with A on Monday. When you want a quality sure thing, you have to show that YOU are a quality sure thing. We've all seen our share of DBs, ripoffs, and fakes from providers, you can imagine what the providers sometimes see! They too have to be careful, whether it's "sneaking a video" or being robbed themselves, so again, if you want top tier, while you should not give out your picture, or anything like credit card or license info, you may have to give them some assurances that you aren't wasting their time.
